5. Setup
5.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the refrigerator from its packaging.
- Inspect the appliance for any damage during transit. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
- Remove all packing materials, including any protective films or tapes.
5.2 Placement
- Place the refrigerator on a flat, stable surface.
- Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit, especially around the compressor area. Maintain at least 10 cm of space from walls or other objects.
- Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
- The refrigerator is designed with a shock-resistant structure, allowing stable operation even at a 45-degree tilt.

5.3 Power Connection
The Alpicool KGS58 supports three power input methods:
- DC 12V/24V (Car): Connect the DC power cord to the refrigerator's DC input port and then to your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.
- AC 100V (Household): Connect the AC power cord to the refrigerator's AC input port and then to a standard household electrical outlet.
- Portable Power (Optional): The unit is compatible with portable power stations (sold separately). Connect using the appropriate cable.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Control Panel Overview
The refrigerator features an intuitive LCD touch panel. Refer to the diagram below for button functions:

- Power Button: Press to turn the unit ON/OFF.
- Temperature Adjustment Buttons (+/-): Press to increase or decrease the temperature setting for the selected compartment.
- Settings Button: Press to cycle through settings such as temperature unit (°C/°F), battery protection level (H/M/L), and operating mode (MAX/ECO).
6.2 Setting Temperature
- Turn on the refrigerator by pressing the Power Button.
- The display will show the current temperature of each compartment.
- To adjust the temperature for a specific compartment, press the corresponding +/- buttons. The temperature can be adjusted in 1°C increments.
- The set temperature will flash briefly and then stabilize. The unit will begin cooling/freezing to the set temperature.
6.3 Operating Modes (MAX/ECO)
The refrigerator offers two operating modes:
- MAX Mode: Provides rapid cooling/freezing. Ideal when you need to quickly reach the desired temperature.
- ECO Mode: Energy-saving mode. The compressor operates at a lower power, consuming less electricity. Suitable for maintaining temperature over longer periods.
To switch between modes, press the Settings Button until 'MAX' or 'ECO' appears on the display, then use the +/- buttons to select your desired mode.

6.4 Low Voltage Protection
The unit features a 3-level battery protection system (H - High, M - Medium, L - Low) to prevent your vehicle's battery from draining. When the input voltage drops below the set level, the compressor will automatically shut off. It will resume operation when the voltage returns to a safe level.
To adjust the battery protection level, press the Settings Button until the battery icon appears, then use the +/- buttons to select H, M, or L. It is recommended to use 'H' for car batteries and 'L' for portable power sources.

7.1 Cleaning
