2. Important Safety Information
Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury.
- Ensure the unit is placed on a level, stable surface.
- Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord or plug.
- Keep the unit away from water or other liquids.
- Do not block air inlets or outlets.
- Unplug the dehumidifier before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
- Allow the unit to stand upright for at least 12 hours before first use, especially if it was tilted during transport. This allows internal compressor oil and refrigerant to settle.

4. Setup
4.1 Initial Placement
Place the dehumidifier in an upright position on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around the unit for proper airflow. If the unit was tilted during shipping, allow it to stand upright for a minimum of 12 hours before plugging it in. This ensures the compressor oil and refrigerant are properly settled, preventing potential damage.
4.2 Drainage Options
Your AEOCKY RHEA-003 offers three drainage methods:
- Manual Drainage (Water Tank): The unit will collect water in its internal tank. When the tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and an indicator light will illuminate. Carefully remove the tank, empty the water, and reinsert it.
- Continuous Drainage (Drain Hose): For extended operation without manual emptying, connect the included drain hose to the continuous drain outlet on the back of the unit. Route the hose to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, sink). Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage.
- Garden Hose Connection (with Adapter): For connecting to a standard garden hose, use the provided garden hose adapter. This allows for drainage into outdoor areas or larger collection systems.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your dehumidifier.
6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter
The washable nylon filter should be cleaned regularly (every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage and air quality) to maintain efficiency.
- Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
- Locate the filter access panel (usually on the back or side of the unit).
- Remove the filter.
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.
- Reinstall the dry filter and close the access panel.

- Gently pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
- Carefully carry the tank to a sink or drain.
- Empty the collected water.
- Slide the empty tank back into the unit until it clicks into place. The unit will resume operation if the humidity is above the set point.
6.3 General Cleaning
