4. Setup

4.1 Installation Location

4.2 Mounting the Camera

  2. Drill holes at the marked positions.
  3. Insert the provided anchors into the drilled holes.
  4. Secure the camera to the surface using the provided screws.

4.3 Power Connection

Connect the included voltage converter (power adapter) to the camera's power input and then plug it into a standard electrical outlet (100-240 Vca, 50/60 Hz). The camera requires 12 Vcc 1 A power.

4.4 Network Connection

The camera supports both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity.

  • Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure your Wi-Fi network operates on the 2.4 GHz frequency (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n standard). Follow the instructions in the STEREN Home app to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network.
  • Ethernet Connection: Connect an Ethernet cable (not included) from your router or network switch to the camera's Ethernet port (10/100 Mbps interface).

4.5 MicroSD Card Installation (Optional)

To enable local video recording, install a microSD card (up to 512 GB, sold separately) into the designated slot on the camera. Refer to Image 3.2 for the location of the microSD slot.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 STEREN Home App

Download and install the STEREN Home app on your smartphone or tablet. Follow the in-app instructions to add and configure your camera. The app allows you to view live footage, access recordings, and manage camera settings.

5.2 Live View and Recording

  • Open the STEREN Home app and select your camera to view the live feed.
  • The camera records video at 1080p 15 FPS / VGA 15 FPS with H.265 compression.
  • Recordings are saved to the installed microSD card. Silent recording is available to ensure privacy and optimize storage space.

5.3 Motion and Person Detection

Enable motion detection and AI-powered person detection in the app settings. You will receive notifications on your mobile device when activity is detected. The AI analysis distinguishes human shapes to reduce false alerts.

5.4 Night Vision Modes

The camera offers two night vision modes:

  • Color Night Vision: Utilizes powerful LED illumination to provide full-color video at night.
  • Infrared Night Vision: Uses infrared LEDs for discreet, black-and-white night surveillance without visible light.
