4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

1. Before first use, fully charge both the hair clipper and trimmer.
2. Connect the USB charging cable to the charging port on the device and plug the other end into a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
3. The LED display will indicate the charging status and battery percentage. A full charge is indicated by 100% on the display.
4. Charging time for the clipper is approximately 3.5 hours for 200 minutes of runtime.
5. Charging time for the trimmer is approximately 5 hours for 300 minutes of runtime.

4.2 Attaching Guide Combs

1. Ensure the device is turned off before attaching or detaching guide combs.
2. Select the desired guide comb for your preferred hair length.
3. Align the comb with the blade and push it firmly until it clicks into place.
4. To remove, gently pull the comb away from the blade.

5. Operation

5.1 General Use

1. Ensure your hair is clean and dry before trimming or clipping.
2. Select and attach the appropriate guide comb for the desired hair length.
3. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the device. The LED display will show battery percentage and current speed.
4. For the clipper (V-196), you can adjust the blade lever for fine-tuning cutting lengths between 0.8mm and 2.0mm without a comb.
5. Gently move the device against the direction of hair growth for an even cut.
6. For best results, use slow, controlled movements.
7. After use, press the ON/OFF button to turn off the device.

5.2 Hair Clipper (V-196)

• Ideal for cutting larger sections of hair and creating fades.
• Use the included 6 guide combs for lengths from 1.5mm to 13mm.
• The adjustable taper lever allows for seamless blending and precise cutting without a comb.

5.3 Hair Trimmer (V-996)

• Suitable for detailing, outlining, beard trimming, and achieving sharp lines.
• Use the included 4 guide combs for lengths from 1.5mm to 6mm.
• Can be used without a comb for a close trim.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Blades

1. After each use, turn off the device and remove any attached guide comb.
2. Use the provided cleaning brush to remove loose hairs from the blades.
3. For a more thorough cleaning, the blades can be carefully detached (refer to specific instructions in the included user manual for blade removal). Rinse the blades under running water if they are detachable and washable. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
4. Do not rinse the main body of the clipper/trimmer under water unless explicitly stated as waterproof.

6.2 Lubricating the Blades

1. After cleaning and drying the blades, apply a few drops of the provided lubricating oil to the teeth of the blades.
2. Turn on the device for a few seconds to allow the oil to distribute evenly.
3. Wipe off any excess oil with a soft cloth.
4. Regular oiling ensures smooth operation and extends blade life.

6.3 Storage

• Store the clipper and trimmer in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Always attach the blade protection cap when storing to prevent damage to the blades.
