To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Votheon Android Car Stereo, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Screen Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the touchscreen. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-safe cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Temperature Control: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, for extended periods.
- Software Updates: Periodically check for available software updates to ensure the system runs efficiently and has the latest features and security patches.
- Cable Connections: Ensure all cables are securely connected. Loose connections can lead to intermittent issues.
6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter. If problems persist, contact customer support.
6.1 Bose Sound System Compatibility
If your car is equipped with a Bose sound system, a separate fiber optic box may be required for proper audio functionality. Additionally, if your power cord interface has only two cables, a decoder box is necessary.

Figure 6.1: Decoder box requirement for Bose sound systems with specific power cord interfaces.
6.2 Original Car Camera Not Working
If your original car camera does not function after connecting the new radio (especially with a 7-inch screen), try the following methods:
- Connect the yellow wire labeled "Back Video in" on the power cable to the 10-pin CAMERA IN wire.
- Connect the gray rearview adapter interface to the original vehicle's reverse interface.
- Check the host camera format; original vehicle cameras are typically CVBS type, with PAL and NTSC formats. Ensure compatibility.

6.3 Original Steering Wheel Controls Not Working
If your original steering wheel controls are not functioning, check the following:
- Verify that the orange steering wheel control cable is connected to the car's steering wheel. There are two orange steering wheel control cables; select the appropriate one based on your vehicle's original interface.
- Check if the small black connector on the steering wheel control cable is connected to the small green connector on the power cable. If using a steering wheel control cable with two small connectors, and one does not work, try the other.
- Ensure the CAN bus is connected.
- Check if the 8-pin CAN bus interface is connected.
