Safety Information
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, observe the following:
- Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by qualified person(s) in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including fire-rated construction.
- Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gases through the chimney of fuel-burning equipment to prevent back-drafting. Follow the heating equipment manufacturer’s guideline and safety standards such as those published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the local code authorities.
- When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.
- Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors.
- Do not use this unit with any solid-state speed control device.
- To reduce the risk of fire, use only metal ductwork.
- Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite.
- Clean ventilating fans frequently. Grease should not be allowed to accumulate on fan or filter.
- Use proper pan size. Always use cookware appropriate for the size of the surface element.

Setup & Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the performance and safety of your island range hood. This model supports both ducted and ductless configurations. For ductless operation, charcoal filters (not included) are required.
Pre-Installation Considerations:
- Ensure the ceiling can support the weight of the range hood.
- For ducted installation, ensure a 6-inch diameter duct opening is available in the ceiling.
- Verify the ceiling height is compatible with the adjustable chimney cover (23.63"-38.5").
- Ensure a power outlet is available at the installation location.
Installation Steps:
- Marking and Drilling: Use the provided mounting template to mark the drilling points on the ceiling for the hanging rack base. Drill holes and insert expansion rubber/screws as per instructions.
- Assemble Hanging Rack: Attach the P1 expansion hangers to the ceiling cover using M4 screws.
- Fasten Ceiling Cover: Secure the assembled ceiling cover to the ceiling using expanding screws.
- Assemble P2 Expansion Hangers: Attach the P2 expansion hangers to the blower unit using M4 screws.
- Duct Connection (Ducted Option): Connect the aluminum pipe to the blower unit and route it through the ceiling opening. Ensure a secure connection to the exhaust pipe.
- Power Supply Connection: Plug the range hood into the prepared power socket. Ensure the power is off before connecting.
- Install Duct Covers: Embed the inner duct cover and fix it with M4 screws. Then, install the outer duct cover, ensuring it slides smoothly and covers the internal components.
