Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Garvee 20-inch Cordless Electric Snow Blower. Please read all instructions carefully before using the product to ensure proper function and to prevent injury or damage.

Safety Information

Always prioritize safety when operating power equipment. Failure to follow these safety guidelines may result in serious injury or property damage.

General Safety

  • Read the entire manual: Understand all instructions and warnings before operation.
  • Wear appropriate attire: Use safety glasses, hearing protection, and non-slip footwear. Avoid loose clothing that could get caught in moving parts.
  • Clear the area: Before starting, remove all objects such as rocks, toys, or debris from the area to be cleared. These can be thrown by the snow blower.
  • Keep bystanders away: Ensure children, pets, and other people are at a safe distance from the operating area.
  • Operate in daylight or good artificial light: The snow blower is equipped with LED lights for low-light conditions, but always ensure adequate visibility.
  • Never direct discharge towards people or property: Thrown objects can cause injury or damage.
  • Do not operate on steep slopes: Exercise extreme caution when operating on slopes. Clear snow across the face of slopes, never up or down.
  • Stay alert: Pay attention to what you are doing and use common sense. Do not operate when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.

Electrical Safety

  • Use only specified batteries and charger: Using other batteries or chargers may create a risk of injury and fire.
  • Do not expose batteries to water or wet conditions: Water entering a battery pack may increase the risk of electric shock or malfunction.
  • Store batteries properly: Keep batteries away from metal objects that could short the terminals.
  • Do not incinerate batteries: Batteries can explode when exposed to fire.

Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your snow blower. A Phillips head screwdriver and a hex wrench (often included) may be required.

1. Attach Lower Handlebar

  1. Align the lower handlebar with the mounting points on the main unit. Ensure the chute crank bar mounting hole on the lower handlebar is positioned correctly (typically facing upwards).
  2. Secure the lower handlebar using the provided screws and knobs. Ensure all connections are tight.

2. Attach Upper Handlebar

  1. Slide the upper handlebar into the lower handlebar. Adjust to a comfortable height and secure with the locking knobs or pins.

3. Assemble Discharge Chute

  1. Place the discharge chute onto the snow blower's discharge opening.
  2. Connect the chute crank bar to the chute mechanism and secure it to the handlebar using the designated hardware. Ensure the chute rotates freely when the crank is turned.
  3. Attach the chute angle adjustment mechanism. Note: Two extra rubber washers are typically used on the bolts for the chute to ensure a secure fit and reduce vibration.

4. Charge Batteries

  1. Insert both 20V 4.0Ah lithium-ion batteries into the dual port charger.
  2. Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet. The indicator lights on the charger will show the charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
  3. Allow approximately 90 minutes for a full charge of both batteries.

  3. Release the safety button once the motor starts. The snow blower will continue to run as long as the bail switch bar is held.

3. Clearing Snow

  • Push the snow blower forward at a steady pace. The unit is designed to clear a 20-inch width and up to 10 inches deep in a single pass.
  • For deeper or very heavy snow, reduce your forward speed or take narrower passes.
