4. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the protector from its packaging. Inspect the device for any visible damage. Do not use if damaged.
  2. Power Connection: Insert the EU plug of the TOSVA-16 protector directly into a standard AC 110V or 220V EU wall socket. Ensure the connection is firm.
  3. Appliance Connection: Plug the appliance you wish to protect into the EU socket provided on the front of the TOSVA-16 protector.
  4. Initial Power On: Once connected, the device will power on automatically or require a press of the power button (if present, refer to Figure 3.1). The digital display will illuminate, showing current voltage and current readings.

5. Operating Instructions

The TOSVA-16 allows for adjustment of voltage and current protection thresholds. Refer to the control buttons on the front panel (Figure 3.1).

  1. Display Readings: The digital display shows real-time voltage (V) and current (A) values. Indicators such as '>V', '<V', '>A' will light up to indicate over-voltage, under-voltage, or over-current conditions, respectively.
  2. Setting Thresholds:
    • Press the SET button to enter setting mode. The display will flash, indicating the parameter that can be adjusted.
    • Use the UP (▲) and DOWN (▼) buttons to adjust the desired voltage or current threshold.
    • Press SET again to cycle through different parameters (e.g., over-voltage limit, under-voltage limit, over-current limit, recovery delay time).
    • After setting all desired parameters, wait a few seconds without pressing any buttons. The device will automatically save the settings and exit the setting mode.
  3. Power Button: The power button (often marked with a circle and vertical line symbol) can be used to manually turn the output power on or off.
  4. Protection Activation: If the voltage or current exceeds the set thresholds, the protector will automatically cut off power to the connected appliance to prevent damage. Once conditions return to normal and after a set delay time, power will be restored automatically.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Disconnect the device from the power outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the device and its connections for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
  • Do Not Disassemble: Do not attempt to open or repair the device yourself. This may void the warranty and pose safety risks.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Device does not power on.No power from wall socket; device not properly plugged in; internal fault.Check wall socket with another appliance. Ensure the protector is fully inserted. If still no power, contact support.
Appliance not receiving power.Voltage/current outside set limits; appliance not properly plugged into protector; protector in protection state.Check display for >V, <V, or >A indicators. Ensure appliance is fully plugged in. Wait for automatic recovery or check settings.
Display shows error code or abnormal readings.Internal malfunction; extreme electrical conditions.Unplug the device for 1 minute, then plug it back in. If the issue persists, discontinue use and contact support.
