1. Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before using this appliance. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

General Safety Precautions:

• Always plug the heater directly into a wall outlet. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap.
• Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
• Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not use in bathrooms, laundry areas, or similar indoor locations where water is present.
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
• To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
• Always unplug the heater when not in use.

2. Product Overview

3. Setup

Unpacking:

1. Carefully remove the heater from its packaging.
2. Remove all packaging materials, including any protective tape or films.
3. Inspect the heater for any signs of damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.

Placement:

• Place the heater on a firm, level surface.
• Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 m) of clear space around the heater to prevent fire hazards.
• Do not place the heater directly under a power outlet.

Humidifier Water Tank Setup:

1. Locate the 1L detachable water tank at the base of the heater.
2. Remove the tank by pulling it out gently.
3. Unscrew the cap at the bottom of the tank and fill it with clean, cool tap water. Do not use hot water or add essential oils.
4. Securely screw the cap back on and reinsert the water tank into its compartment until it clicks into place.

4. Operating Instructions

The OYLUS Space Heater can be operated using the control panel on top of the unit or the included remote control.

Control Panel & Remote Control:

• Power Button: Press to turn the heater ON or OFF.
• Mode Button: Cycle through heat settings (Low, Medium, High).
• Temperature Adjustment (+/-): Increase or decrease the desired temperature in 1°F increments.
• Timer Button: Set the automatic shut-off timer from 1 to 12 hours.
• Oscillation Button: Activate or deactivate the 90° oscillation feature.
• Humidifier Button: Turn the humidifier function ON or OFF independently of heating.

Smart LED Display:

The clear LED display shows:

• Current room temperature.
• Set temperature.
• Active heat mode (Low, Medium, High).
• Humidifier status icons.

5. Maintenance

Cleaning the Humidifier Tank:

• Regularly clean the humidifier tank to prevent mineral buildup and ensure optimal performance.
• Remove the tank, unscrew the cap, and drain any remaining water using the simple plug.
• Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water. For stubborn mineral deposits, use a mild descaling solution (e.g., vinegar and water) and rinse well.
• Allow the tank to air dry completely before reassembling.

General Cleaning:

• Always unplug the heater before cleaning.
• Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Periodically clean the air inlet filter to maintain efficient operation. The filter is easily accessible and can be cleaned without tools.
• Ensure all parts are completely dry before plugging the heater back in.

6. Troubleshooting

Heater Does Not Turn On:

• Check Power Connection: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
• Verify Power Switch: Make sure the main power switch (usually located at the back or bottom) is in the 'ON' position.
• Tip-Over/Overheat Protection: If the heater was tipped or overheated, it might have activated its safety shut-off. Place it upright on a stable surface and allow it to cool down for a few minutes before attempting to restart.
• Remote Control Batteries: If using the remote, check if the batteries need replacement.

No Heat Output:

• Check Heat Mode: Ensure a heat mode (Low, Medium, or High) is selected, not just the fan or humidifier mode.
• Thermostat Setting: Verify that the set temperature is higher than the current room temperature.

Humidifier Not Producing Mist:

• Water Level: Check if the water tank is empty. Refill if necessary.
• Tank Placement: Ensure the water tank is correctly seated in its compartment.
• Mineral Buildup: Clean the humidifier tank and transducer if there is mineral buildup.
