Alizen Magic Remote for LG Smart TV (2018-2025)

Instruction Manual

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Alizen Magic Remote. This remote control is designed to enhance your viewing experience with LG Smart TVs, offering convenient features like pointer navigation and voice control. Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper use and to get the most out of your new remote.

2. Compatibility

This Alizen Magic Remote is compatible with all LG Smart TV series manufactured between 2018 and 2025. This includes OLED evo, OLED, QNED, and 4K UHD models.

The remote is designed to replace various LG Magic Remote models, including MR25GN, MR24GN, MR23GN, MR22GA, MR21GA, MR20GA, MR19BA, MR18BA, and MR650A. Please note that models such as MR500 and MR600 are not supported.

3. Package Contents

  • 1 x Alizen Magic Remote Control
  • 1 x User Manual (this document)

Note: 2 AA batteries are required for operation and are not included in the package.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Insert two (2) AA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2 Pairing the Remote Control

The Alizen Magic Remote needs to be paired with your LG Smart TV to enable all functions, including pointer and voice control.

  1. Turn on your LG Smart TV.
  2. Point the Alizen Magic Remote towards the TV.
  3. Press the Wheel (OK) button (the scroll wheel in the center of the remote).
  4. The remote will automatically attempt to register with the TV. A pairing confirmation message should appear on your TV screen once successful.

If Pairing Fails: Hold the Home button and the Back button simultaneously for 5 seconds. Then, press the Wheel (OK) button again to re-attempt pairing.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Pointer Function

Once paired, the remote's pointer function allows you to navigate your TV screen by simply moving the remote in the air. A cursor will appear on the screen, which you can use to select items, scroll, and interact with applications.

5.2 Voice Control

The Alizen Magic Remote supports voice commands for convenient control of your LG Smart TV. Ensure the remote is paired before using voice control.

  1. Press and hold the Microphone button on the remote.
  2. Speak your command clearly into the remote's microphone. Examples include:
    • "Find movies"
    • "Play music"
    • "Control the volume"
    • "Open Netflix"
  3. Release the Microphone button when you are finished speaking.

5.3 Button Functions

The remote features a full set of buttons for comprehensive control:

  • Power Button: Turns the TV on or off.
  • Number Pad (0-9): Direct channel input.
  • Volume Up/Down: Adjusts the TV volume.
  • Channel Up/Down: Changes TV channels.
  • Mute Button: Mutes or unmutes the TV audio.
  • Home Button: Accesses the TV's home screen or smart hub.
  • Back Button: Returns to the previous screen or menu.
  • Input Button: Changes the input source (HDMI, AV, etc.).
  • Quick Access Buttons: Dedicated buttons for popular streaming services (e.g., Netflix, Prime Video).
  • Wheel (OK) Button: Confirms selections, acts as a scroll wheel for navigation.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the remote with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Care: Replace batteries when the remote's performance diminishes. Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • Storage: Store the remote in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemSolution
Remote is not responding.
  • Ensure batteries are inserted correctly and are not depleted. Replace with new AA batteries if necessary.
  • Point the remote directly at the TV.
Pointer or Voice Control not working.
  • The remote may not be properly paired. Follow the pairing instructions in Section 4.2.
  • If pairing fails, hold the Home button and Back button for 5 seconds to disconnect, then press the Wheel (OK) button to re-register.
Some buttons are not working.
  • Check for any physical obstructions or debris under the buttons.
  • Ensure the remote is compatible with your specific LG TV model (refer to Section 2).
