3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Unpacking and Initial Placement
- Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging.
- Place the unit upright on a firm, level surface.
- Allow the dehumidifier to stand in an upright position for at least 24 hours before plugging it into a power outlet. This ensures the compressor oil settles, preventing potential damage.
- Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of clear space around all sides of the unit for proper airflow. Do not place it against walls or furniture that could obstruct air circulation.
3.2 Drainage Options
The AEOCKY BOREAS-001 offers three drainage methods:

- Manual Drainage (Water Tank): The unit collects water in its internal 2.7L water tank. When the tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and an indicator light will illuminate. Carefully remove the tank and empty the collected water. Reinsert the tank securely to resume operation.
- Continuous Drainage (Drain Hose): For continuous operation without manual emptying, connect the included 2-meter (78.74 inch) drain hose to the continuous drainage port on the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity to drain the water into a suitable floor drain or container.
- Garden Hose Drainage (with Adapter): For customized drainage length, use the included 5/8 inch (1.59 cm) garden hose adapter. Attach the adapter to the continuous drainage port, then connect a standard garden hose (not included). Ensure the garden hose is also sloped for gravity drainage. If there are gaps after connecting, use thread seal tape to reinforce the connection.
4. Operating Instructions
The control panel allows you to manage various settings and modes of your dehumidifier.

4.1 Power On/Off
Press the Power button to turn the unit on or off.
4.2 Operating Modes
- Auto Mode (AI Control): This mode automatically adjusts operation to maintain a comfortable humidity range for human comfort.
- Continuous Mode: The unit will operate continuously to remove moisture, regardless of the set humidity level. This is ideal for very damp conditions or for drying clothes.
- Constant Humidity Mode: Allows you to set a desired humidity level between 40% and 80%. The unit will cycle on and off to maintain this level.
- Smart Drying Mode: Designed for drying clothes, this mode provides continuous and powerful dehumidification.
4.3 Humidity Setting
In Constant Humidity Mode, use the Up/Down arrows to adjust the desired humidity level (40%-80% Relative Humidity).
4.4 Fan Speed Control
Select between two fan speeds (Low/High) to control the rate of dehumidification and noise level.
4.5 Timer Function
Set the timer for automatic shut-off or delayed start, typically from 1 to 24 hours.
4.6 Child Lock
Activate the Child Lock feature to prevent accidental changes to settings.
4.7 Ambient Light
The multicolor ambient light indicates the current humidity level:
- Blue: Humidity < 45%
- Green: Humidity 45%-65%
- Orange: Humidity > 65%
- Red: Water tank full
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.
5.1 Cleaning the Air Filter
The unit is equipped with a washable nylon filter. A clean filter improves air quality and dehumidification efficiency.
- Unplug the dehumidifier from the power outlet.
- Locate and remove the air filter from the back or side of the unit.
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
- Reinsert the dry filter and plug the unit back in.

5.2 Cleaning the Water Tank
Regularly clean the water tank to prevent mold and mildew growth.
- Unplug the dehumidifier.
- Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
- Wash the tank with mild detergent and warm water.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry before placing it back into the unit.
5.3 Exterior Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
