These cover common maintenance tasks such as Oil Reset, EPB (Electronic Parking Brake), BMS (Battery Management System), Throttle adaptation, Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) Reset, DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) Regeneration, ABS Bleeding, Injector Coding, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) Reset, Suspension, Air Conditioner, Head Lamp, Body Stability, Engine, Transmission, Air-Bag, Seat, DWR, Fuel Pump, Air Filter, Engine Idle, IMM, MIS, EGR, ODO, Door, Engine Cylinder, AdBlue, Clutch, Water Pump, Crankshaft, High Voltage Battery, Cruise, Language Setting, NOx Sensor, Rain Sensor, Stop & Start, Turbocharger, Head-Up Display, Radar/Camera, Setup, Speed Limit Assist, Control Unit, O2 Sensor, and Seat Belt resets.

3. Bidirectional Testing (Active Test)
The bidirectional testing feature allows you to send commands to vehicle systems and test component functionality on demand. This is crucial for verifying repairs or diagnosing issues with actuators and other components. For example, you can test injectors, fuel pumps, A/C compressors, and various lighting components directly from the tool.

4. Monitor Vehicle Health with Live Data
The 'Live Data' function provides real-time sensor data from various control modules, such as coolant temperature and transmission oil temperature. This data can be displayed in text or graphic formats, aiding in the detection of abnormal system behavior and potential faults.

5. Battery Registration
The tool supports battery registration and matching to the BMS system, which is essential when replacing a new battery. It can also test battery voltage to monitor battery health.
6. Diagnostic Report
After performing a scan, the tool can generate a detailed diagnostic report. This report includes vehicle information, scanned systems, detected DTCs, and their descriptions. Reports can be saved and shared for record-keeping or customer communication.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance of your scan tool ensures optimal performance and access to the latest vehicle data.
1. Software Updates
Connect the scan tool to a Wi-Fi network. From the main menu, select 'Update'. The device will display available updates for various car brands. You can choose to update specific brands or all available updates. Regular updates ensure compatibility with new vehicle models and access to the latest diagnostic functions.
2. Clearing DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes)
After diagnosing and resolving a vehicle fault, you can clear the associated DTCs. Navigate to the specific module where the fault was detected, select 'Clear DTCs', and confirm. This will turn off the check engine light or other warning indicators.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Communication with Vehicle: Ensure the VCI module is securely plugged into the OBD2 port and the scan tool. Verify the vehicle's ignition is 'ON'. Check Bluetooth connection for wireless setup or USB cable for wired setup.
- Device Not Powering On: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the external power adaptor if needed.
- Incorrect VIN Detected: Manually input the VIN if automatic detection fails.
- DTC Lookup: Use the 'DTC Lookup' function in the 'Library' to understand the meaning of specific trouble codes.
