5. Installation
The NIVIAN additional monitor is designed for straightforward installation using a 2-wire connection, allowing you to reuse existing wiring. Ensure the power to your intercom system is disconnected before beginning installation.
5.1 Wall Mounting
- Choose a suitable indoor location for the monitor, ensuring it is within 50 meters of the main intercom unit and at an appropriate viewing height.
- Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws and wall plugs.
- Connect the 2-wire cables from your existing intercom system to the designated terminals on the back of the monitor. Ensure correct polarity if specified.
- Carefully attach the monitor to the mounted bracket, ensuring it is securely fastened.

5.2 Wiring Diagram
Refer to the wiring diagram provided with your NVS-VIDEOINTERCOM-2W main unit for specific connection points. The additional monitor connects in parallel to the main monitor using the two-wire system.

6. Operation
Once installed and powered on, the monitor will display the main interface. The touchscreen allows for intuitive navigation.
6.1 Receiving a Call
When a visitor presses the doorbell, the monitor will ring and display the live video feed from the outdoor unit. To answer the call, tap the 'Call' icon on the screen.
6.2 Two-Way Communication
After answering, you can speak with the visitor using the built-in microphone and speaker. The system features noise reduction for clear audio.
6.3 Opening the Door
To unlock the door, tap the 'Doors' icon on the screen during a call or from the main menu. Confirm the action if prompted.
6.4 Monitoring
From the main menu, you can access the 'Cameras' section to view live feeds from the outdoor unit or any integrated IP cameras.
7. Connecting to Tuya Smart App
The NIVIAN monitor supports remote management through the Tuya Smart app. This allows you to receive calls, view live feeds, and open doors from your smartphone, even when you are away from home.
- Download the Tuya Smart app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
- Register or log in to your Tuya Smart account.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. Select 'Video Intercom' or a similar category.
- Ensure your monitor is in pairing mode (refer to the monitor's settings for Wi-Fi pairing instructions).
- Complete the pairing process as guided by the app.
8. Integrating IP Cameras
The system allows for the integration of up to 8 IP cameras that support the ONVIF protocol. This expands your surveillance capabilities.
- Ensure your IP cameras are powered on and connected to your network.
- On the NIVIAN monitor, navigate to the 'Settings' menu and locate the 'IP Camera' or 'Surveillance' section.
