3. Setup and Preparation

  1. Positioning the Cleaner: Place the SpotWash cleaner on a flat, stable surface near the area to be cleaned. Ensure it is within reach of a power outlet.
  2. Filling the Solution Tank:
    • Remove the clean water/solution tank from the unit.
    • Fill the tank with warm tap water up to the 'Water' fill line.
    • Add the Vax SpotWash Spot Cleaning Antibacterial Solution up to the 'Solution' fill line. Do not overfill.
    • Securely replace the tank on the unit.
  3. Attaching a Tool: Select the appropriate cleaning tool for your task (e.g., SpinScrub Hand Tool for deep carpet stains, Everyday 2-in-1 Tool for general spills). Connect the chosen tool firmly to the end of the hose.

4. Operating Instructions

General Spot Cleaning

  1. Power On: Plug the cleaner into a suitable power outlet and switch it on.
  2. Pre-treat (Optional): For tough stains, you may pre-treat the area by spraying a small amount of solution directly onto the stain and allowing it to sit for a few minutes.
  3. Apply Solution and Scrub: Hold the cleaning tool over the stain. Press the trigger to release cleaning solution while moving the tool slowly over the stained area. For the SpinScrub Hand Tool, its automatic rotating bristles will assist in agitating the stain.
  4. Extract Liquid: Release the trigger and continue to move the tool over the wet area to extract the dirty liquid. Repeat until the stain is removed and the extracted liquid appears clean.
  5. Drying: Go over the cleaned area several times without pressing the trigger to remove as much moisture as possible.

Using Specific Tools

  • SpinScrub Hand Tool: Ideal for deep cleaning carpets, upholstery, and pet beds. The rotating bristles work to lift embedded dirt and stains.
  • Everyday 2-in-1 Tool: Suitable for general spills and stains on various surfaces. It helps prevent cross-contamination by allowing quick cleaning without using the SpinScrub tool.
  • Crevice Tool: Designed for cleaning tight spaces, corners, and edges.

  3. Wipe Down Unit: Wipe the exterior of the SpotWash cleaner with a damp cloth.
