Thank you for choosing the CUSIMAX EM6130E Espresso Machine. This manual provides essential information for safe operation, proper use, and maintenance of your new coffee machine. Please read it thoroughly before first use and keep it for future reference.
2. Important Safety Instructions
- Always ensure the machine is unplugged before cleaning or maintenance.
- Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Use only with grounded electrical outlets.
- Do not operate if the power cord or plug is damaged.
- Avoid touching hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- Only use the machine for its intended purpose.

4. Setup & First Use
- Unpack all components and remove any packaging materials.
- Place the machine on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface.
- Fill the removable 34oz water tank with fresh, cold water. Ensure it is properly seated.
- Plug the machine into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Press the ON/OFF button on the touchscreen to power on the machine. The ON/OFF icon will breathe, indicating it is heating up.
- Once the ON/OFF icon stops breathing and makes one beep, the machine is ready for use.
- Before brewing coffee, it is recommended to run a cycle of hot water through the machine to clean internal components. Turn the steam knob to the WATER position and let hot water spout out until the ON/OFF stops flashing. Then close the knob to the OFF position.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Making Espresso or Americano
- Fill the portafilter with freshly ground coffee. Use the tamper with spoon to tamp it evenly.
- Lock the portafilter into the machine by twisting it from left to right.
- Place your cup(s) on the drip tray.
- Select your desired beverage (Espresso, Americano, Double Espresso, Double Americano) from the LED touchscreen.
- The machine will automatically brew and stop when the cycle is complete.

5.2 Making Cold Coffee
- Prepare the portafilter with coffee grounds as described above.
- Place a glass filled with ice on the drip tray.
- Select "Cool" or "Double Cool" from the LED touchscreen. The machine will brew espresso at a lower temperature suitable for iced beverages.
5.3 Frothing Milk (Latte & Cappuccino)
- Fill a milk frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy).
- Select the "Steam" option on the LED touchscreen. The machine will begin heating.
- Once the ON/OFF icon stops breathing, the machine is ready for steaming.
- Submerge the steam wand into the milk, ensuring the tip is just below the surface.
- Turn the steam knob to the STEAM position to begin frothing. Move the pitcher up and down to create microfoam.
- Once desired foam consistency and temperature are reached, turn the steam knob to the OFF position.
- Immediately clean the steam wand after frothing (see Maintenance section).

6. Maintenance & Cleaning
6.1 Cleaning the Steam Wand
- Immediately after frothing, wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth.
- Turn the steam knob to the STEAM position briefly to purge any milk residue from the nozzle.
- If the frother spout is clogged, twist off the frother spout and clean it with the provided cleaning needle. Insert the needle in and out until the blockage is removed.
- Twist the steam nozzle back on securely.

6.2 Cleaning the Drip Tray & Water Tank
- The drip tray and water tank are removable for easy cleaning.
- Empty and rinse the drip tray regularly to prevent overflow.
- Wash the water tank with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly. It can also be placed in a dishwasher.
6.3 General Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Regularly clean the portafilter and filter baskets with warm, soapy water.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 ON/OFF Flashing Repeatedly / No Coffee Comes Out
This problem typically occurs if you attempt to brew coffee immediately after frothing milk. The machine needs to cool down to the appropriate temperature for brewing coffee.
- Turn the steam knob to the WATER position.
- Let hot water spout out from the steam wand until the ON/OFF icon stops flashing and makes one beep.
- Close the knob to the OFF position. The machine is now ready to brew coffee normally.
