Setup & Connectivity
Connecting via USB Dongle
- Insert the 2.4G USB Dongle into an available USB port on your computer.
- Turn on the Wantek BT-881 headset by sliding the ON/OFF switch.
- The headset will automatically pair with the dongle. A voice prompt or LED indicator will confirm the connection.
- Select "BT-88 Dongle" as your audio input and output device in your computer's sound settings.
Connecting via Bluetooth
- Ensure the headset is turned off.
- Slide the ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position and hold it for a few seconds until the LED indicator flashes blue and red, indicating pairing mode.
- On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "Wantek BT-881" from the list. A voice prompt or solid blue LED will confirm successful pairing.

Basic Controls
- Power ON/OFF: Slide the switch on the earcup.
- Pairing: Slide the power switch to 'PAIR' position or hold the power button for 3-5 seconds when off.

- Play/Pause: Press the multi-function button.
- Answer/End Call: Press the call button (phone icon) on the earcup.
- Mute Microphone: Press the mute button on the microphone boom or earcup.
Wearing and Adjusting the Headset
- Adjust the headband to fit comfortably over your head.
- Position the ear cup over one ear, ensuring the cushioned pad rests gently.
- Rotate the microphone boom up or down and bend it to position the microphone approximately 1-2 inches from your mouth for optimal voice pickup. The microphone can be used on either the left or right side.
Charging & Battery
To charge your headset, connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the headset's charging port and the other end to a USB power source. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours and provides up to 50 hours of working time.
Troubleshooting
- No Sound/Microphone Not Working: Ensure the headset is powered on and correctly paired/connected. Check your device's audio settings to confirm the headset (or dongle) is selected as the input/output device. Ensure the microphone is not muted.
- Cannot Pair: Make sure the headset is in pairing mode (flashing blue/red LED). Turn off and on your device's Bluetooth, then try pairing again. Ensure no other devices are actively connected to the headset.
