5. Setup
5.1 Initial Charge
Before first use, fully charge your Jackery Explorer 500 v2. This ensures optimal battery performance and longevity.
- Connect the provided AC charging cable to the input port on the power station.
- Plug the other end of the AC charging cable into a standard wall outlet.
- The display will show the charging status. The unit is fully charged when the battery indicator shows 100%.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Turning On/Off
- To turn on: Press and hold the main Power Button for a few seconds until the display illuminates.
- To turn off: Press and hold the main Power Button for a few seconds until the display turns off.
6.2 Charging the Power Station
The Explorer 500 v2 offers multiple charging options:
- AC Wall Outlet: Connect the AC charging cable to the input port and a wall outlet. Charges 0-80% in approximately 52 minutes.
- Solar Panel (Optional): Connect compatible Jackery SolarSaga solar panels (sold separately) to the input port. Ensure panels are placed in direct sunlight for optimal charging.
- Car Charger: Connect the car charger cable (sold separately) to the input port and your vehicle's 12V DC outlet.
6.3 Powering External Devices
Ensure the power station is turned on before connecting devices.
- AC Output: Press the "AC" button to activate the AC outlets. Plug your devices into the AC ports. The unit provides 500W rated power and 1000W surge power.
- DC Output: Press the "DC" button to activate the DC 12V output. Plug your 12V DC devices into the port.
- USB Output: Press the "DC/USB" button to activate the USB ports. Connect your USB-A or USB-C devices for charging.

6.4 Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Function
The Explorer 500 v2 features a 10ms UPS function for seamless power backup.
- Connect the power station to a wall outlet using the AC charging cable.
- Connect your critical devices (e.g., computer, router) to the AC outlets of the power station.
- In case of a power outage, the power station will automatically switch to battery power within 10 milliseconds, providing uninterrupted power to connected devices.

6.5 LED Light Operation
- To turn on the LED light: Press the "LIGHT" button.
- To cycle through modes (e.g., low, high, SOS): Press the "LIGHT" button repeatedly.
- To turn off the LED light: Press and hold the "LIGHT" button.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Storage
- Store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- For long-term storage, charge the unit to 60-80% every 3-6 months to maintain battery health. The low self-consumption design ensures minimal battery drain during storage.
