Assembly Instructions

Assembly is required for this product. While the instructions are designed to be clear and easy to follow, the process can be time-consuming. It is recommended to have ample space for unpacking and organizing parts.

General Tips for Assembly:

  • Organize Parts: Lay out all labeled parts and hardware according to the instruction manual.
  • Tools: All necessary tools are provided. A power screwdriver can expedite the process, but use caution to avoid overtightening.
  • Pilot Holes: Some pilot holes for screws may benefit from additional drilling to prevent stripping screw heads, especially when using a powered driver.
  • Drawer Assembly: Pay close attention to the placement of specific components (e.g., item 'O' for drawers) to ensure smooth operation. Incorrect placement can affect drawer functionality.
  • Door Alignment: When attaching cabinet doors, ensure proper alignment before fully tightening screws. Slight adjustments to hinge placement may be necessary.

Follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the included manual for detailed assembly guidance.

Operating Instructions

Drop-Leaf Countertop Extension:

The kitchen island features an expandable drop-leaf design to provide additional workspace when needed. To extend the countertop:

  1. Locate the drop-leaf section on the side of the island.
  2. Gently lift the drop-leaf until it is horizontal.
  3. Pull out the sturdy frame supports from underneath the main countertop until they lock into place, securing the drop-leaf.

To fold the drop-leaf back down, release the frame supports and carefully lower the leaf.

Mobility and Stability:

The island is equipped with 5 heavy-duty smooth-rolling casters for easy movement. Two of these casters are locking wheels to ensure stability when the island is in a desired position.

  • To Move: Ensure all locking casters are in the unlocked position. Gently push the island to its new location.
  • To Secure: Once the island is in place, engage the locks on the two locking casters by pressing down on the lever. This will prevent unintended movement.

Storage Features:

  • Drawers: Utilize the two deep drawers for cutlery, utensils, or other small kitchen items.
  • Adjustable Shelves: The large cabinet features 3-level adjustable shelves. To adjust, remove the shelves, reposition the shelf pins to the desired height, and reinsert the shelves.
  • Door Shelves: The two cabinets with door shelves provide additional storage for spices or smaller items.
  • Spice Rack & Towel Rack: Use the integrated spice rack and towel rack for convenient access to frequently used items.

Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Wipe the surfaces with a dry cloth. For stubborn marks, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Wood Care: The rubber wood top is durable but can be protected with food-safe wood conditioner or oil periodically to maintain its appearance and prevent drying.
  • Hardware: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight. Retighten as necessary to maintain structural integrity.
  • Spills: Clean up spills immediately to prevent staining or damage to the wood and engineered wood surfaces.
