1. Introduction

3. Setup

3.1 Initial Setup

1. The tags come with a pre-installed CR2032 lithium battery. Remove the insulation sheet from the battery compartment to activate the tag.
2. Press and hold the power button on the tag until you hear a beep, indicating it is powered on and ready for pairing.

3.2 Pairing with iOS (Apple Find My App)

1. Ensure Bluetooth and Location Services are enabled on your iOS device.
2. Open the Find My app.
3. Tap on the Items tab.
4. Tap Add Item, then select Other Supported Items.
5. The app will search for nearby tags. Once your TIMU Smart Tag appears (e.g., "Tagigo"), tap Connect.

3.3 Pairing with Android (Google Find Hub App)

1. Ensure Bluetooth and Location Services are enabled on your Android device.
2. Download and open the Google Find Hub app from the Google Play Store.
3. Press the power button on the tag once to enter pairing mode.
4. The connection page should pop up automatically in the app. Tap Connect.
5. Follow the on-screen prompts to name your item and assign an emoji.

4.1 Locating Your Items

• Play Sound: From the Find My (iOS) or Find Hub (Android) app, select your tag and tap "Play Sound" to trigger an 80-100 decibel alert from the tag's built-in speaker. This is ideal for locating items in close proximity, such as under a sofa or in a cluttered drawer.
• Find Nearby: The app displays the distance to your lost item (Bluetooth range up to 36 meters) to help narrow your search area.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement

The TIMU Smart Tags use a replaceable CR2032 button battery, offering up to 2 years of use. To replace the battery:

1. Carefully open the tag's casing (a small tool may be provided or required).
2. Remove the old CR2032 battery.
3. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
4. Close the casing securely.

5.2 Water Resistance

The tags are IP67 water resistant, meaning they can resist rainwater and splashing water droplets. However, they are not designed for prolonged submersion in water.

5.3 Cleaning

Wipe the tags with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
