6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning Your Apple Watch

To clean your Apple Watch, power it off and disconnect it from the charger. Wipe the watch and band with a soft, lint-free cloth. If necessary, slightly dampen the cloth with fresh water. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, or compressed air, as these can damage the device.

6.2 Water Resistance

The Apple Watch Series 11 is water resistant, not waterproof. It can be used for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean. However, it should not be used for scuba diving, waterskiing, or other activities involving high-velocity water or submersion below shallow depths. Water resistance may decrease over time with normal wear. Avoid exposing your Apple Watch to soaps, shampoos, conditioners, lotions, perfumes, solvents, detergents, acids, acidic foods, insect repellent, sunscreen, oil, or hair dye, as these can negatively affect water seals and acoustic membranes.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Common Issues and Solutions

  • Watch not turning on: Ensure the watch is charged. Connect it to the charger for at least 30 minutes.
  • Watch not pairing with iPhone: Ensure both devices have Bluetooth enabled and are within range. Restart both devices. Check for software updates on your iPhone.
  • Apps not responding: Force quit the app by pressing the side button, then rotating the Digital Crown to the app, swiping left, and tapping the 'X'. Restart the watch if the issue persists.
  • Inaccurate heart rate readings: Ensure the watch is snug but comfortable on your wrist. Clean the back of the watch.
