2. Safety Guidelines

4. Assembly

Your Likebike U12 Electric Bike arrives approximately 90% pre-assembled. Follow the steps below to complete the assembly. For a visual guide, please refer to the official assembly video.

4.1. Kickstand Installation

1. Locate the kickstand and its mounting bolts.
2. Attach the kickstand to the designated mounting points on the bike frame using the provided bolts and Allen wrench. Ensure it is securely tightened.

4.2. Rear Fender and Taillight Installation

1. Attach the rear fender to the frame above the rear wheel.
2. Secure the taillight to the rear of the seat frame using the provided hardware. Connect the taillight cable to the corresponding connector.

4.3. Rear Footrests Installation

1. Identify the mounting points for the rear footrests on the rear wheel axle.
2. Attach the footrests using the provided bolts and Allen wrench, ensuring they are firmly secured.

4.4. Front Fender Installation

1. Position the front fender over the front wheel.
2. Secure the fender to the front fork using the provided screws.

4.5. Front Wheel and Brake Disc Assembly

1. Attach the brake disc to the front wheel hub. Note: The arrow mark on the brake disc should be assembled counterclockwise.
2. Insert the quick-release skewer through the front wheel hub.
3. Carefully align the front wheel with the front fork, ensuring the brake disc slides into the brake caliper.
4. Tighten the quick-release skewer securely.

4.6. Headlight Installation

1. Mount the headlight to the front fork using the provided bracket and screws.
2. Connect the headlight cable to the corresponding connector.

4.7. Handlebar Assembly

1. Remove the black cover and screw from the top of the stem.
2. Insert the handlebar stem into the fork's steerer tube.
3. Replace the top screw and cover, tightening the top screw first.
4. Tighten the two side screws on the stem to secure the handlebar.
5. Adjust the brake levers to a comfortable position and tighten their screws.

4.8. Pedal Installation

1. Identify the 'R' (Right) and 'L' (Left) markings on the pedals and crank arms.
2. For the right pedal, turn clockwise to tighten.
3. For the left pedal, turn counterclockwise to tighten.
4. Use a wrench to ensure pedals are securely fastened.

5. Battery Information

The Likebike U12 is equipped with a 48V 20Ah removable, UL-certified battery. It features waterproof and anti-theft design for enhanced safety and convenience.

5.1. Charging the Battery

1. Ensure the battery is either installed on the bike or removed.
2. Connect the 3A charger to a power outlet.
3. Plug the charger into the battery's charging port.
4. The charging indicator on the charger will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes 5-7 hours.
5. Disconnect the charger once charging is complete.

5.2. Battery Installation and Removal

1. To install, align the battery with the frame's battery compartment and slide it in until it clicks into place. Use the key to lock it.
2. To remove, unlock the battery with the key, then slide it out of the compartment.

5.3. Checking Battery Level

The battery level indicator light can only be checked after the battery switch is turned on. Press the button on the battery to see the charge level indicated by the LED lights.

6.1. Powering On/Off

1. Ensure the battery is installed and locked, and the battery switch is turned on.
2. Press and hold the power button on the handlebar display to turn the bike on or off.

The Likebike U12 offers 3 distinct riding modes and a 7-speed transmission system:

• Pedal Assist Mode (PAS): Provides motor assistance while you pedal. The level of assistance can be adjusted via the display controls. This mode offers an impressive range of up to 100 miles.
• Throttle Mode: Provides motor power without pedaling. This mode offers a range of approximately 50 miles, depending on load and terrain.
• Manual Mode: Ride the bike like a traditional bicycle without motor assistance.
