5. Operating Instructions
The ECO Learning Trike offers three distinct modes to adapt to your child's growth and skill level.
5.1 Guided Trike Mode (12-36 months)
In this mode, parents maintain control using the adjustable parent handle. The child can rest their feet on the footrests or learn to pedal if the pedals are attached.
- Attach Parent Handle: Insert the 2-position height adjustable parent handle into the designated slot at the rear of the trike. Ensure it clicks into place.
- Footrests: Ensure the child's feet are comfortably placed on the footrests if not pedaling.

5.2 Training Trike Mode (18-36 months)
Once your child is ready to pedal independently, transition to this mode. The parent handle can be removed, and pedals can be attached.
- Remove Parent Handle: Press the release button and pull the parent handle out.
- Attach Pedals: Insert the removable pedals into the front wheel. Ensure they are securely locked. Pedals can be stored under the saddle when not in use.

5.3 Balance Bike Mode (24-36 months)
This mode helps children develop balance and coordination before transitioning to a two-wheeled bicycle. The pedals and parent handle are removed, and the rear wheels are brought together.
- Remove Pedals: Detach the pedals and store them under the saddle.
- Convert Rear Wheels: Utilize the patented wheel switch mechanism to bring the two rear wheels together, transforming the trike into a balance bike. This is a tool-less process.
