Setup

1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the earphones and the charging case. Place the earphones into the charging case and connect the USB-C cable to the charging port on the case and a power source. The indicator light on the case will show charging status.

2. Pairing with a Device

  1. Ensure the earphones are in the charging case and the case lid is open.
  2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, PC), enable Bluetooth.
  3. Search for "QCY MeloBuds N60" in the list of available Bluetooth devices and select it to pair.
  4. Once paired, the earphones are ready for use.

3. QCY App Installation

For enhanced features and customization, download the official QCY app from your device's app store. The app allows you to adjust EQ settings, customize touch controls, manage noise cancellation modes, and view battery levels.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Ambient Sound Mode

The MeloBuds N60 feature adaptive ANC that automatically adjusts noise cancellation levels based on your environment and wearing status, providing up to 56dB of noise reduction. Ambient Sound Mode allows you to hear your surroundings without removing the earphones. Cycle through ANC ON, ANC OFF, and Ambient Sound Mode by long-pressing the right earphone for 1.5 seconds.

Wear Detection

The earphones are equipped with wear detection sensors. Music playback will automatically pause when you remove an earphone and resume when you put it back in. Ensure you use the correct ear tip size for accurate detection.

Multi-point Connection

The MeloBuds N60 support multi-point connection, allowing you to connect to two devices simultaneously. For example, you can listen to music on your PC and seamlessly switch to answer a call on your smartphone.

Note: LDAC codec is not available when using multi-point connection. To use LDAC, disable multi-point connection in the QCY app.

LDAC and Hi-Res Audio

The earphones support LDAC codec and are Hi-Res Audio certified, delivering high-quality sound wirelessly. When LDAC is enabled (via the QCY app, with multi-point connection disabled), you can enjoy audio at up to 990kbps, equivalent to 24bit/96kHz Hi-Res sources.

Note: LDAC requires a compatible device. iPhones do not support LDAC.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the ear tips and earphone surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: Store the earphones in their charging case when not in use to protect them and keep them charged.
  • Water Resistance: The earphones are IPX5 water-resistant, meaning they can withstand splashes and sweat. Do not submerge them in water. Ensure they are dry before placing them back in the charging case.
  • Ear Tip Fit: The MeloBuds N60 come with 5 pairs of ultra-soft silicone dual-structure ear tips (XS, S, M, L, XL). Choosing the correct size ensures optimal sound quality, noise cancellation, and comfort for long periods of wear.

Troubleshooting

Earphones not pairingEnsure earphones are charged. Place them in the case, close and open the lid. Check Bluetooth on your device and try re-pairing.
Only one earphone workingPlace both earphones back into the charging case, close the lid for 5 seconds, then open it. Check if both connect. If not, try resetting the earphones (refer to QCY app or online support for specific reset instructions).
Poor sound quality / Low volumeCheck ear tip fit; try different sizes. Clean ear tips and earphone grilles. Ensure LDAC is enabled if desired (and compatible). Adjust volume on both earphones and connected device.
Noise cancellation not effectiveEnsure ear tips provide a good seal. Adjust ANC intensity in the QCY app. Check for proper wear detection.
