2.1 Components and Controls

3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge the LEKATO MT50. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the charging port on the device and the other end to a 5V USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status.

3.2 Attaching to Your Instrument
The MT50 features a secure clip-on grip with rubber padding to protect your instrument's finish. Attach the device to the headstock of your guitar, bass, ukulele, violin, viola, or cello. Adjust the screen angle for optimal viewing using the 360° pivot and 140° tilt functionality.

3.3 Powering On/Off
To power on the device, press and hold the Power/Play button for approximately 2 seconds. To power off, press and hold the Power/Play button again for 2 seconds. The device will automatically power off after 3 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Switching Modes
Press the M/T button to cycle through the three operating modes: Tuner, Metronome, and Tone Generator.
4.2 Tuner Mode
In Tuner mode, the device detects the pitch of your instrument. The screen will display the note name and an indicator showing if the pitch is flat, in tune, or sharp.

- Selecting Tuning Mode: Tap the M/T button to switch between Chromatic (C), Guitar (G), Bass (B), Ukulele (U), Violin (V), Viola (V-), and Cello (V_) modes. Chromatic mode is suitable for a wide range of instruments and custom tunings.
- Tuning Your Instrument: Pluck a single string on your instrument. The screen will display the detected note. Adjust your instrument's tuning peg until the indicator is centered and the screen turns green, indicating the note is in tune.
- A4 Frequency Adjustment: To change the A4 reference frequency (default is 440Hz), press and hold the Up (▲) or Down (▼) button. The A4 value can be adjusted from 430Hz to 450Hz.
- Flat Tuning: For instruments requiring flat tuning, press the Rhythm/Volume/Flat (♫/♭) button to lower the pitch by up to 4 semitones (available in Guitar/Bass modes).

4.3 Metronome Mode
The Metronome mode provides a steady beat to assist with rhythm practice.
- Setting Tempo (BPM): Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) buttons to adjust the Beats Per Minute (BPM) from 30 to 280. Hold the buttons for quick adjustment.
- Adjusting Beat: Tap the M/T button to select the beat value (0-9).
- Changing Rhythm Type: Press the Rhythm/Volume/Flat (♫/♭) button to cycle through 8 different rhythm types.
- Volume Control: Hold the Rhythm/Volume/Flat (♫/♭) button to adjust the metronome volume.
- Start/Stop: Press the Power/Play button to start or stop the metronome.
4.4 Tone Generator Mode
The Tone Generator produces specific reference pitches for ear training or manual tuning.
- Selecting Pitch: Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) buttons to select the desired pitch (A2-A6).
- Playing Tone: Press the Power/Play button to play the selected reference tone. Press again to stop.

6. Troubleshooting
- Device does not power on:
- Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the device to a USB-C charger and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes.
- Press and hold the Power/Play button for 2 seconds to ensure it's not just a short press.
- Tuner is inaccurate or not detecting notes:
- Ensure the device is securely clipped to the instrument's headstock. Vibrations are picked up through the clip.
- Check that you are in the correct tuning mode (e.g., Guitar mode for guitar, Chromatic for other instruments or specific tunings).
- Pluck strings clearly and individually. Avoid background noise.
- Verify the A4 reference frequency is set correctly (default 440Hz).
- Metronome sound is too low or too high:
- Hold the Rhythm/Volume/Flat (♫/♭) button to adjust the volume level.
- Ensure the speaker is not obstructed.
- Battery not charging:
- Ensure the USB-C cable is properly connected to both the device and the power source.
- Try a different USB-C cable or power adapter.
- Verify the power source is active (e.g., wall outlet, computer USB port).
