4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging.
- Remove all packing materials, including any tape or labels.
- Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer service.
- Allow the unit to stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
4.2 Placement
- Place the dehumidifier on a smooth, level floor strong enough to support the unit with a full bucket of water.
- Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of air space on all sides of the unit for proper air circulation.
- Avoid placing the unit near heat-generating appliances or in direct sunlight.
- For optimal performance, operate the dehumidifier in an enclosed area. Close all doors and windows in the room where the unit is operating.
4.3 Power Connection
- Plug the power cord into a grounded 3-prong electrical outlet (115V AC, 60Hz).
- Do not use an extension cord or adapter.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Control Panel Overview
The control panel is located on the top of the unit and features a digital LED display and touch controls.

- Power Button: Turns the unit On or Off.
- Speed Button: Cycles through High, Medium, Low, and Smart Dry fan speeds.
- Humidity % (+/- Buttons): Adjusts the desired humidity level from 30% to 70% or selects "Nonstop" for continuous operation.
- Filter Button: Resets the "Clean Filter" indicator after cleaning the filter (hold for 3 seconds).
- Delay Button: Sets a delay for the unit to turn On or Off (up to 24 hours).
- Empty Indicator: Illuminates when the water bucket is full and needs to be emptied.
5.2 Initial Operation
- Press the Power button to turn on the dehumidifier.
- The unit will default to the last used settings or a factory default.
- Use the +/- buttons to set your desired humidity level. A recommended starting point is 45-50%.
- Select your preferred fan speed (High, Medium, Low) using the Speed button, or choose Smart Dry for automatic adjustment.
5.3 Drainage Options
- Water Bucket: The unit collects water in the removable bucket. When full, the "Empty" indicator will light up, and the unit will sound a 10-second alarm and automatically shut off. Carefully remove the bucket using the handle, empty it, and reinsert it securely.
- Continuous Drainage: For hands-free operation, connect a standard garden hose (not included) to the continuous drain outlet on the side of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage into a floor drain or sink.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter
The air filter should be cleaned at least every 30 days or when the "Clean Filter" indicator lights up. A dirty filter can reduce efficiency and cause the unit to work harder.
- Turn off the dehumidifier and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Remove the filter from the back of the unit by pulling it outwards.
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filter to dry completely before reinserting it.
- Reinsert the filter into the unit.
- Plug in the dehumidifier and press the Filter button for 3 seconds to reset the indicator.

6.2 Cleaning the Water Bucket
Clean the water bucket regularly to prevent mold, mildew, and bacteria growth.
- Remove the water bucket from the unit.
- Wash the bucket with warm, soapy water.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry before placing it back into the dehumidifier.
6.3 Unit Exterior
Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
7. Troubleshooting
