5.3. Night Vision and WDR

Equipped with an F1.55 large aperture lens and WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology, the S410 captures clear and detailed images even in low-light or high-contrast conditions. The proprietary 70mai Night Owl Vision™ technology further enhances night recording by suppressing noise and balancing brightness.

5.4. Parking Surveillance (Requires Optional Hardwire Kit)

When used with an optional 70mai Hardwire Kit (UP03 or UP06), the parking surveillance function automatically activates when the engine is turned off. It provides:

  • G-sensor Emergency Recording: If the G-sensor detects an impact while parked, it automatically records a 30-second video. Upon restarting the vehicle, a voice message will alert you if an impact video was recorded.
  • Time-lapse Recording: Compresses 15 minutes of footage into 1 minute, saving memory card space and allowing for quick review of parking events.
  • Loop Recording: Automatically overwrites the oldest recordings when the memory card is full, ensuring continuous recording without manual deletion.
Parking surveillance features: G-sensor, time-lapse, loop recording

5.5. Emergency Recording (G-sensor)

During driving, if the G-sensor detects a sudden impact or abnormal shake, it triggers emergency recording. This function records footage from 10 seconds before the event to 30 seconds after, saving it to a dedicated folder to prevent overwriting. You can also manually trigger a 30-second emergency recording by tapping the screen.

5.6. Wi-Fi Connectivity and App Control

The S410 features built-in Wi-Fi, allowing you to connect to the 70mai app on your smartphone. Through the app, you can:

  • Adjust settings.
  • Operate the dash cam remotely.
  • Instantly view and download recorded videos.
  • Share footage.

Using Wi-Fi does not consume mobile data. Regular OTA (Over-The-Air) updates ensure you have the latest features and stability.

5.8. External GPS Module (Optional)

5.9. Parking Guide Lines

The rear camera supports parking assistance with adjustable parking guide lines. When reversing, the screen automatically switches to a full-screen rear view, and you can adjust the guide lines in 3 stages and 2 modes via touch control for safer parking.

6. Maintenance

6.1. MicroSD Card Management

The included 64GB microSD card provides ample storage. The loop recording function automatically overwrites the oldest files when the card is full, eliminating the need for frequent manual deletion. The device supports up to 256GB microSD cards (U1 specification required).

Emergency and parking surveillance recordings are saved in separate folders, making them easy to find and preventing them from being overwritten by regular loop recordings.

6.2. Cleaning

Wipe the lens and screen with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the device.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • Device not powering on: Ensure the car charger is properly inserted into the cigarette socket and the power cable is securely connected to the dash cam. Check your vehicle's fuse for the cigarette lighter.
  • Recording issues: Ensure a microSD card is inserted and formatted correctly. Check if the card is full (though loop recording should prevent this, corrupted cards can cause issues). Try a different microSD card.
  • Poor video quality: Clean the camera lenses. Ensure the protective film has been removed. Check settings for resolution and exposure.
  • Wi-Fi connection problems: Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on the dash cam and your smartphone. Try restarting both devices.
  • GPS not working (if optional module connected): Ensure the GPS module is securely connected and has a clear view of the sky.
