Emptying the Shavings Bin
- Unplug the sharpener before emptying the shavings bin for safety.
- Twist the lid counter-clockwise to open it.
- Carefully dump the shavings over a trash can.
- Reattach the lid by aligning the triangular arrows and twisting clockwise until secure.
It is recommended to empty the shavings bin when it is approximately 1/3 full to maintain optimal performance.

8. Troubleshooting
No Sharp Pencil Nib / Pencil Lead Breakage
- Check Sharpness Setting: Ensure you are using the correct sharpness setting for your pencil type. For soft leads, choose a blunter setting.
- Clear Jammed Lead: If the lead is stuck, gently insert a sharp, hard-grade pencil (e.g., HB) and press inward while sharpening. This may push the broken lead free.
- Remove Blade for Cleaning: Open the lid, take out the blade, and dislodge any blockage with a steel wire or similar tool.
- Replace Blade: If the sharpening is consistently poor, the blade might be aging and needs replacement. (Replacement blade ASIN: B0G4TZX4F5)
