2. Important Safety Information
Please read all instructions carefully before using the dehumidifier. Keep this manual for future reference. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
General Safety Precautions:
- Always plug the unit into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Do not operate the dehumidifier with a damaged power cord or plug.
- Ensure the unit is placed on a level, stable surface to prevent tipping.
- Maintain at least 8 inches (20 cm) of clear space around the unit for proper airflow.
- Do not insert objects into the air inlet or outlet grilles.
- Unplug the unit before cleaning or performing any maintenance.

3. Setup and Installation
Unpacking:
- Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging.
- Remove all packing materials, including any tape or protective films.
- Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
- Allow the unit to stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
Placement:
- Place the dehumidifier in a location where the temperature will not fall below 41°F (5°C).
- Ensure there is adequate air circulation around the unit. Do not block the air inlet or outlet.
- For optimal performance, place the unit away from walls and furniture.
- The unit is equipped with 360° swivel casters for easy movement.
Drainage Options:
The AEOCKY RHEA-002 offers three drainage methods:
- Internal Water Tank: For manual emptying. The unit will automatically shut off when the tank is full.
- Continuous Drain via Hose: For continuous operation without manual emptying. Connect the included drain hose to the drain port.
- Hose + Garden Hose Connection: For extended continuous drainage, especially in areas like garages or plant areas. Use the provided garden hose adapter.
Connecting the Garden Hose Adapter:
The garden hose adapter is located inside the water tank. To connect it:
- Remove the water tank from the unit.
- Locate the garden hose adapter inside the tank.
- Connect the included drain hose to the machine's drain port.
- Attach the garden hose adapter to the end of the drain hose.
- Connect a standard 5/8-inch garden hose (not included) to the adapter.
- Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks. Thread tape can be used for a tighter seal if needed.

4. Operating Instructions
Control Panel:
The control panel is located on the top of the unit and features a digital display and various buttons for setting modes, humidity levels, fan speed, and timer functions.
Power On/Off:
- Press the Power button to turn the unit on or off.
Setting Desired Humidity:
- In Auto or Constant Humidity mode, use the Humidity Up/Down buttons to set the desired humidity level between 40% and 80% RH.
- The unit will operate until the set humidity level is reached, then cycle on and off to maintain it.
Operation Modes:
The RHEA-002 offers several operating modes:
- Auto Mode: Automatically adjusts operation based on ambient humidity to maintain a comfortable level.
- Constant Humidity Mode: Maintains a user-defined humidity level.
- Continuous Mode: Runs continuously regardless of humidity level, ideal for very damp conditions.

Fan Speed:

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.
Cleaning the Air Filter:
The unit includes a washable nylon filter. Clean the filter regularly (every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage) to maintain efficiency.
- Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
- Locate and remove the air filter from the back of the unit.
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.
- Reinsert the dry filter into the unit.
Emptying the Water Tank:
If not using continuous drainage, the water tank will need to be emptied when full. The unit will stop operating and indicate a full tank.
- Gently pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
- Carefully carry the tank to a sink or drain.
- Pour out the collected water.
- Replace the empty water tank firmly into the unit until it clicks into place.
External Cleaning:
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or solvents.
