Setup
1. Charging the Headset
Before first use, fully charge the headset. The headset can be charged using the provided USB-C cable or by placing it on the charging base.
- Using USB-C Cable: Connect the USB-C cable to the headset's charging port and to a compatible USB power source.
- Using Charging Base: Place the headset securely on the charging base. Ensure the charging contacts align.
A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours. The indicator light on the headset will change to indicate charging status (e.g., red for charging, blue/green for fully charged).
2. Connecting the Headset
The Dytole DY109 offers two connection methods: Bluetooth 5.3 and a 2.4G USB dongle.
Bluetooth Connection
- Ensure the headset is charged and powered on.
- Activate Bluetooth pairing mode on the headset (refer to specific button press in future, for now, assume a power button press or dedicated pairing button).
- On your device (computer, smartphone), go to Bluetooth settings and search for available devices.
- Select "Dytole DY109" from the list of found devices.
- Once connected, the headset's indicator light will confirm successful pairing.
2.4G USB Dongle Connection
- Plug the 2.4G USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer.
- Power on the Dytole DY109 headset.
- The headset and dongle should automatically pair. The indicator light on the headset will confirm connection.
- Ensure "Dytole DY109" is selected as the audio input and output device in your computer's sound settings.
Operation
Power On/Off
Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds to power the headset on or off.
Call Management
- Answer/End Call: Press the Multi-function button once.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the Multi-function button for 2 seconds.
Volume Control
Use the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons on the headset to adjust audio levels.
Microphone Mute
Press the Mute button on the microphone boom to mute or unmute the microphone. An indicator light on the microphone or headset may show mute status.
AI Noise Cancellation
The headset features integrated AI noise cancellation for clear calls. This feature is active during calls to reduce background noise for the listener.
3-in-1 Smart Dock Functionality
The included charging base also functions as a phone stand and an organizer for your USB dongle. Place your phone in the designated slot for hands-free viewing, and store the USB dongle in its compartment when not in use.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- Wipe the headset and charging base with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents.
- Avoid getting moisture into any openings.
Storage
When not in use, store the headset in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Utilize the charging base for organized storage.
Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the headset is fully charged. Connect it to the charging cable or base and check the charging indicator.
- Cannot Connect via Bluetooth:
- Ensure the headset is in pairing mode.
- Turn off and on your device's Bluetooth.
- Delete "Dytole DY109" from your device's Bluetooth list and attempt to pair again.
- Ensure the headset is within the effective range (typically 10 meters) of your device.
- No Audio/Poor Audio Quality:
- Check the volume levels on both the headset and your connected device.
- Ensure the headset is selected as the default audio output device in your system settings.
- If using the USB dongle, ensure it is properly inserted and recognized by your computer.
- Move closer to your connected device to avoid interference.
- Microphone Not Working:
- Check if the microphone is muted.
- Ensure "Dytole DY109" is selected as the default microphone input device in your system settings.
- Test the microphone with another application or device.
