Setup Instructions

1. Unpack the UPS: Carefully remove the UPS unit and all accessories from its packaging.

3. Placement: Place the UPS in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive moisture. Ensure the cooling fan at the rear has unobstructed airflow.

5. Connect Devices:
   • For devices requiring continuous power during outages (e.g., computers, routers), plug them into the 6 outlets labeled "Battery Backup & Surge Protected" (black outlets).
   • For devices requiring only surge protection, plug them into the 2 outlets labeled "Surge Protected" (white outlets).
6. Power On: Press and hold the power button on the front panel to turn on the UPS. The LCD display will illuminate.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

• To Power On: Press and hold the power button on the front panel until the LCD screen illuminates.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the power button until the UPS powers down.

Understanding the LCD Display

The intelligent LCD provides real-time status updates:

• Input Voltage: Shows the incoming voltage from the wall outlet.
• Output Voltage: Displays the voltage being supplied to connected devices.
• Battery Capacity: Indicates the current charge level of the internal batteries.
• Load Capacity: Shows the power consumption of connected devices.
• Estimated Runtime: Provides an approximation of how long the UPS can supply power on battery backup, depending on the connected load.

Managing Audible Alarms

When the UPS switches to battery mode, it will emit a beeping sound every 6-10 seconds. To silence this alarm, lightly touch the power button. The display will indicate a silent state. If the battery is about to run out, the UPS will continuously emit a beeping alarm until it powers off.

Battery Replacement

The SKE SK1500 UPS uses two 12V lead-acid batteries. While designed for durability, batteries have a finite lifespan and may require replacement over time. Cleaning

• Continuous Beeping Alarm: This indicates a low battery condition. Save your work and shut down connected devices safely. The UPS will power off once the battery is depleted.
• Beeping Alarm During Power Outage: This is normal operation, indicating the UPS is running on battery power. Lightly touch the power button to mute the alarm.
• No Power to Connected Devices: Verify that devices are plugged into the "Battery Backup & Surge Protected" outlets. Check the UPS's LCD display for error messages or low battery indicators.
