Important Safety Instructions

  • Power Connection: Always plug the heater directly into a 120V AC wall outlet. Never use with an extension cord, power strip, or surge protector, as this can create a fire hazard.
  • Overheat Protection: The heater is equipped with an automatic overheat shutoff feature. If the heater overheats, it will turn off automatically. Unplug the unit, allow it to cool for 30 minutes, then plug it back in.
  • Tip-Over Protection: The heater includes a tip-over safety switch that automatically shuts off the unit if it is accidentally knocked over. Place the heater on a stable, level surface.
  • Clearance: Maintain a minimum distance of 3 feet (0.9 meters) from any combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains.
  • Moisture: Do not use the heater in wet or moist locations like bathrooms, laundry areas, or near sinks.
  • Supervision: Close supervision is necessary when the heater is used by or near children or individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities.
  • Ventilation: Do not block air openings. Ensure proper ventilation to prevent overheating.

Control Panel and Display

The control panel is located on the top front of the heater base. It includes touch-sensitive buttons and a digital display for current temperature and settings.

  • Power Button: Turns the heater on or off.
  • Mode Button: Cycles through heat and fan modes.
  • Oscillation Button: Activates or deactivates oscillation.
  • Temperature/Timer Adjustment Buttons (+/-): Adjusts target temperature or sets timer duration.

Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Dreo Whole Room Heater 714:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the heater and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) of clear space around the heater from walls, furniture, and other objects. This heater is suitable for indoor use in rooms such as bedrooms, offices, living rooms, dining rooms, and garages.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord directly into a 120V AC, 60Hz wall outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.
  4. Remote Batteries: Insert the included AAA batteries into the remote control, observing correct polarity.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

Press the Power Button on the control panel or remote control to turn the heater on or off.

Heat and Fan Settings

The heater offers 3 heat settings and 3 fan settings. Press the Mode Button to cycle through the available modes:

  • Heat Modes: Low, Medium, High (1500W PTC heating for rapid warmth).
  • Fan Modes: Low, Medium, High (for air circulation without heat).

Oscillation

Press the Oscillation Button to activate the 3D oscillation feature. The heater can oscillate 60° vertically and 90° horizontally to distribute warmth evenly across the room.

Temperature Control (Thermostat)

In heating modes, you can set a target temperature between 41°F and 95°F in 1°F increments. Use the + and - buttons to adjust the desired temperature. The heater will automatically turn on or off to maintain the set temperature.

ECO Mode

Press the ECO Mode Button to activate the energy-saving mode. In ECO mode, the heater automatically adjusts its power output to maintain your set temperature, optimizing energy consumption and potentially reducing electricity costs.

Timer Function

The heater features a 12-hour timer. Press the Timer Button (often combined with temperature adjustment) to set the desired operating duration. The heater will automatically turn off once the timer expires.

Child Lock

To prevent accidental changes to settings, press and hold the Child Lock Button for a few seconds to activate or deactivate the child lock. When active, the control panel buttons will not respond.

Remote Control

The included remote control allows you to operate all functions of the heater from a distance. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the heater's sensor.

Cleaning

  1. Disconnect Power: Always unplug the heater from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
  3. Air Intake/Outlet: Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently remove dust and debris from the air intake and outlet grilles.
  4. Do Not Immerse: Never immerse the heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior.

Storage
