3. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage.
- Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 m) of clear space around the heater from walls, furniture, and other objects. Do not place it on soft surfaces like rugs or carpets that could block airflow.
- Power Connection: Ensure the heater is turned off before plugging it into a 120V AC, 60Hz wall outlet. Do not use an extension cord or power strip.
4. Operating Instructions
The Dreo Whole Room Heater 714 offers various settings for optimal comfort and energy efficiency.
4.1 Control Panel and Remote Control
The heater can be operated using the touch controls on the unit or the included remote control. The remote control requires 2 AAA batteries (included).
4.2 Power On/Off
- Press the Power button (U) to turn the heater on or off.
4.3 Heat and Fan Settings
The heater features 3 heat levels and 3 fan settings.
- Press the Mode button (M) to cycle through heat modes (Low, Medium, High) or fan-only mode.
- In fan-only mode, you can adjust fan speed.
4.4 Oscillation
The heater provides 3D oscillation for wide heat distribution.
- Press the Horizontal Oscillation button (↔) for 90-degree horizontal movement.
- Press the Vertical Oscillation button (↕) for 60-degree vertical movement.
- Both oscillation modes can be activated simultaneously.

4.5 ECO Mode
ECO mode helps maintain a desired temperature while optimizing energy consumption.
- Press the ECO button (ECO) to activate this mode.
- In ECO mode, the heater will automatically adjust its power output to maintain the set temperature between 41°F and 95°F.

4.6 Temperature Control
Set your desired temperature with precision.
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the target temperature in 1°F increments, ranging from 41°F to 95°F.
- The heater will automatically turn on or off to maintain the set temperature.

4.7 Timer Function
Set the heater to operate for a specific duration.
- Press the Timer button (T) to set the operating time from 1 to 12 hours.
- The heater will automatically turn off once the set time has elapsed.
4.8 Child Lock
To prevent accidental changes to settings.
- Press and hold the Child Lock button (often represented by a lock icon) for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate the child lock.
- When activated, the control panel buttons will be unresponsive.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater.
5.1 Cleaning
- Before Cleaning: Always turn off the heater and unplug it from the power outlet. Allow it to cool down completely.
- Exterior Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Air Inlet/Outlet: Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently remove dust from the air inlet and outlet grilles.
- Do Not Submerge: Never immerse the heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior of the heater.
5.2 Storage
When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place. It is recommended to store it in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.
