1. Introduction

The Brook Flashman is a virtual GPS joystick designed to enhance location-based gaming and applications on iPhone devices running iOS 17 and above. It provides precise control over your virtual location without requiring device jailbreaking. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, and utilization of all Flashman features.

  • Control Joystick: For directional movement.
  • FN Button (Coordinate Memory Button): Double-press to save a location; long-press to teleport to the last saved location.
  • Mouse Function Button: Short-press to enter mouse mode for screen interaction; long-press to enter location sharing mode.
  • Movement Mode Switch Button: Short-press to toggle between auto-move and joystick control modes.
  • Speed Switch Button: Long-press to switch between high speed (up to 100 km/h) and low speed (up to 10 km/h) in auto-move mode. Short-press to switch speeds in joystick mode.
  • Power/Lock Switch: Located on the back of the device.

2. Setup

2.1 Power On/Off and Lock Mode

  1. Locate the Power/Lock switch on the back of the Flashman device.
  2. To power on and enable full functionality (non-LOCK mode), slide the switch to the middle position. In this mode, all buttons and the joystick are active. This is recommended for daily use and initial setup.
  3. To power on and enter LOCK mode, slide the switch to the rightmost position. In LOCK mode, the device lights up but most functions are disabled until unlocked. This mode is ideal for standby or preventing accidental touches during transport.

2.2 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the Flashman device is powered on (switch in the middle position).
  2. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  3. Enable Bluetooth. Your iPhone will begin searching for available devices.
  4. When "Brook Flashman" appears in the list of devices, tap to connect.
  5. Once successfully paired, a message indicating successful Bluetooth connection will be displayed.

2.3 App Installation

Download the "Brook Flashman" app from the Apple App Store. The app is essential for managing coordinates, routes, and other advanced features of the Flashman device.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Saving and Teleporting Coordinates

  1. Open the Flashman App on your iPhone.
  2. Navigate the map within the app to the desired location you wish to save.
  3. Once the map cursor is at the target spot, double-press the FN button on the Flashman device. The coordinate will be saved.
  4. To quickly return to the last saved coordinate, long-press the FN button. The Flashman will automatically move your virtual location to the saved spot.

3.2 Movement Mode Switching (Auto-Move vs. Joystick Control)

  1. To activate auto-move mode, short-press the Movement Mode Switch Button (lower-left button). The location icon light on the Flashman will turn orange and stay on, indicating auto-move mode is active.
  2. To switch back to joystick control (manual mode), short-press the Movement Mode Switch Button again. The location icon light will turn off, indicating joystick control is enabled. In this mode, you control movement direction using the joystick.

3.3 Speed Mode Switching

  1. In auto-move mode, long-press the Speed Switch Button (lower-right button) to toggle between high speed (running icon light is blue) and low speed (running icon light is off).
  2. In joystick control mode, short-press the Speed Switch Button to switch between high speed (running icon light is blue) and low speed (running icon light is off).

3.4 Mouse Mode (Click & Auto-Tap)

Prerequisites for Mouse Mode:

  1. Lock your iPhone screen to portrait mode to prevent orientation issues.
  2. Enable AssistiveTouch: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch and turn it on. This will display a floating button on your screen.
  3. In AssistiveTouch settings, set the Tracking Sensitivity to the highest level for optimal cursor accuracy.

Using Mouse Mode:

  1. Short-press the Mouse Function Button (upper-right button) to enter mouse mode. A mouse cursor will appear on your iPhone screen, and the Wi-Fi icon light on the Flashman will show a green light.
  2. Use the joystick to move the cursor on your iPhone screen.
  3. To perform a click, press the joystick once.
  4. To activate the auto-tap function, long-press the joystick for approximately 5 seconds. This will simulate continuous taps at the cursor's location.

3.5 Share & Receive Location

The Flashman allows you to share your virtual location with other Flashman users within a 4-square-meter range, enabling multiple players to gather at the same virtual spot.

  1. To Share Location: The sender should long-press the Mouse Function Button (upper-right button) to enter location sharing mode. The location icon light on the Flashman will show a solid purple light, indicating it is transmitting.
  2. To Receive Location: Within range of a sharing device, the receiver should short-press the Mouse Function Button twice. The location icon light will flash purple, indicating receive mode is active. Once the location is successfully received, the light will turn off, and the Flashman will automatically move to the shared location without further operation.
