Setup and Assembly

Assembly of this Murphy Cabinet Bed requires two adults. All necessary tools and a detailed assembly instruction guide are provided in the packaging. Follow the step-by-step instructions in the separate guide for proper assembly.

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the 4 boxes and lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches.
2. Identify Parts: Match all components with the parts list in the assembly guide.
3. Assemble Cabinet Frame: Follow the guide to construct the main cabinet frame. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
4. Install Storage Shelves: Insert the built-in storage shelves into their designated slots within the cabinet.
5. Attach Bed Mechanism: Secure the bed frame mechanism to the cabinet according to the instructions. This step is crucial for safe operation.
6. Connect LED Lighting: Install and connect the LED light strips as directed in the manual.
7. Attach Sofa Components: Assemble and attach the folding sofa to the front of the cabinet.
8. Final Checks: Before first use, double-check all screws, bolts, and connections to ensure they are fully tightened.

Operating Instructions

Converting from Sofa to Bed

1. Clear the Sofa: Remove any items or cushions from the sofa.
2. Fold Sofa Backrest: The sofa backrest cushion can be folded and stored to clear the path for the bed.
3. Release Safety Lock: Locate and disengage the safety lock mechanism on the side of the cabinet.
4. Pull Down Bed: Grasp the handles on the bed frame and gently pull the bed downwards towards you. The support legs will automatically extend.
5. Position Legs: Ensure the support legs are fully extended and stable on the floor.
6. Place Mattress: If not already in place, position your mattress (recommended thickness 6-8 inches) on the bed frame.

Converting from Bed to Sofa

1. Remove Mattress: If desired, remove the mattress or ensure it is securely fastened to the bed frame.
2. Fold Support Legs: Lift the bed frame slightly and fold the support legs inwards.
3. Lift Bed Frame: Gently push the bed frame upwards until it retracts fully into the cabinet.
4. Engage Safety Lock: Secure the safety lock mechanism to prevent the bed from accidentally opening.
5. Adjust Sofa: Unfold the sofa backrest cushion if it was stored.

Using the LED Light

The integrated LED lights provide ambient lighting. Locate the power switch, typically on the side or top of the cabinet, to turn the lights on or off. The soft light is designed to create a comfortable atmosphere and assist with visibility at night without being overly bright.
