Important Safety Information
Please read this manual carefully before operating your hykolity Electric Oil Filled Radiator Heater. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury. Keep this manual for future reference.
- Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
- Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
- Do not use outdoors. This heater is intended for indoor use only.
- Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and away from the sides and rear.
- To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
- This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
- Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
- Always unplug heater when not in use.
Product Overview
The hykolity Electric Oil Filled Radiator Heater (Model ZOH402E) is designed to provide radiant heat for indoor spaces. It features an adjustable thermostat, remote control, LED display, child lock, and safety protections.

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain packaging for off-season storage.
- Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure it is at least 3 feet (0.9 m) away from walls, furniture, and other combustible materials. Do not place it on soft surfaces like carpets or rugs that could block the air vents.
- Power Connection: Ensure the heater is switched off before plugging it into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.
- Caster Wheels: The heater comes with 360° smooth caster wheels for easy movement. Ensure they are securely attached and can roll freely.

Operating Instructions
The heater can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.
1. Power On/Off
- Press the Power button (
) on the control panel or remote to turn the heater on or off.
2. Power Modes
The heater offers multiple power modes to suit your heating needs and energy preferences.

- Press the Mode button (
) to cycle through the available power settings:
- 600W (Low)
- 900W (Medium)
- 1500W (High)
- ECO Mode (See section 2.5 for details)
3. Temperature Control
Adjust the desired room temperature between 50°F and 95°F (10°C and 35°C) in 1°F increments.

- Use the "+" and "-" buttons on the control panel or remote to increase or decrease the target temperature.
- The LED display will show the set temperature. The heater will automatically adjust its heating output to maintain this temperature.
4. Timer Function (24-Hour)
The 24-hour timer allows you to schedule when the heater turns on or off automatically.

Setting Timer to Turn On:
- Ensure the heater is in standby mode (off).
- Press the Timer button (
) on the control panel or remote.
- Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the desired number of hours (1-24) after which the heater will turn on.
- The display will show the set time, and the timer icon will illuminate.
Setting Timer to Turn Off:
- Ensure the heater is running (on).
- Press the Timer button (
) on the control panel or remote.
- Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the desired number of hours (1-24) after which the heater will turn off.
- The display will show the set time, and the timer icon will illuminate.
Note: If power is interrupted, the timer settings will be reset. You will need to re-set the timer once power is restored.
5. ECO Mode
ECO mode is an energy-saving feature that automatically adjusts the heater's power output to maintain a set temperature efficiently.

- Select ECO mode using the Mode button.
- The heater's sensor and smart algorithms will work to maintain a steady warmth, optimizing power consumption.
6. Child Lock
The child lock feature prevents accidental changes to settings.
- To activate: Press and hold the Child Lock button (
) on the control panel or remote for a few seconds until the lock icon appears on the display.
- To deactivate: Press and hold the Child Lock button again until the lock icon disappears.
Safety Features
The hykolity Electric Oil Filled Radiator Heater is equipped with several safety features for user protection.

Figure 8: The heater incorporates comprehensive safety features including Tip-Over Protection (auto-off if tilted), Overheat Protection (auto-off if internal temperature exceeds safe limits), an Enhanced Safety Plug, and construction from V-0 flame retardant materials. It is also ETL Certified.
- Tip-Over Protection: The heater will automatically shut off if it is accidentally tipped over. It will resume operation once placed upright again.
- Overheat Protection: If the heater's internal components reach an unsafe temperature, it will automatically shut off to prevent overheating. Unplug the heater and allow it to cool down before attempting to restart.
- Child Lock: Prevents unintended operation or setting changes (as described in Operating Instructions).
- V-0 Flame Retardant Materials: Constructed with materials designed to resist flame spread.
- ETL Certified: Indicates compliance with North American safety standards.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater.
- Cleaning:
- Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Do not immerse the heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior.
- Gently vacuum or wipe any dust from the air intake and exhaust vents.
- Storage:
- When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place.
- It is recommended to store it in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.
- Cord Care:
- Inspect the power cord and plug regularly for any signs of damage.
- Do not wrap the cord tightly around the heater when storing.
