The hykolity Electric Oil Filled Radiator Heater (Model ZOH402E) is designed to provide radiant heat for indoor spaces. It features an adjustable thermostat, remote control, LED display, child lock, and safety protections.

Components:

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain packaging for off-season storage.
  2. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure it is at least 3 feet (0.9 m) away from walls, furniture, and other combustible materials. Do not place it on soft surfaces like carpets or rugs that could block the air vents.
  3. Power Connection: Ensure the heater is switched off before plugging it into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.
  4. Caster Wheels: The heater comes with 360° smooth caster wheels for easy movement. Ensure they are securely attached and can roll freely.

Operating Instructions

The heater can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

The heater offers multiple power modes to suit your heating needs and energy preferences.

3. Temperature Control

Adjust the desired room temperature between 50°F and 95°F (10°C and 35°C) in 1°F increments.

4. Timer Function (24-Hour)

The 24-hour timer allows you to schedule when the heater turns on or off automatically.

How to set hykolity Heater Timer

Setting Timer to Turn On:

  1. Ensure the heater is in standby mode (off).
  2. Press the Timer button (Timer Icon) on the control panel or remote.
  3. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the desired number of hours (1-24) after which the heater will turn on.
  4. The display will show the set time, and the timer icon will illuminate.

Setting Timer to Turn Off:

  1. Ensure the heater is running (on).
  2. Press the Timer button (Timer Icon) on the control panel or remote.
  3. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the desired number of hours (1-24) after which the heater will turn off.
  4. The display will show the set time, and the timer icon will illuminate.

Note: If power is interrupted, the timer settings will be reset. You will need to re-set the timer once power is restored.

ECO mode is an energy-saving feature that automatically adjusts the heater's power output to maintain a set temperature efficiently.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater.

  1. Cleaning:
    • Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
    • Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
    • Do not immerse the heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior.
    • Gently vacuum or wipe any dust from the air intake and exhaust vents.
  2. Storage:
    • When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place.
    • It is recommended to store it in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.
  3. Cord Care:
    • Inspect the power cord and plug regularly for any signs of damage.
    • Do not wrap the cord tightly around the heater when storing.

Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your heater, refer to the following common problems and solutions.

Heater makes unusual noises.
  • Normal expansion/contraction of metal parts.
  • Loose component.
  • Minor clicking or crackling sounds are normal as the heater heats up and cools down.
  • If noises are loud or persistent, discontinue use and contact customer support.
