6. Maintenance
6.1 Blade Care
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the blades with a damp cloth to remove sap and debris. Dry thoroughly.
- Lubrication: Apply a few drops of lubricating oil (not included) to the blades regularly to ensure smooth operation and prevent rust.
- Sharpening: Use the provided sharpening stone to maintain blade sharpness. Refer to the user manual for detailed sharpening instructions.
- Replacement: If blades become dull or damaged beyond sharpening, replace them with the included SK5 extra blade or genuine GEVEELIFE replacement blades.
6.2 Battery Storage
Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. For long-term storage, ensure batteries are partially charged (around 50%) to prolong their lifespan.
7. Troubleshooting
- Shears not turning on: Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. Check if the power button is pressed and held, and the trigger is double-clicked for activation.
- Blades not cutting effectively: Check the blade sharpness and clean any accumulated sap or debris. Ensure the correct cutting diameter mode is selected for the branch size.
- Reduced battery life: Ensure batteries are fully charged before use. Battery performance can decrease over time; consider replacing old batteries if significant degradation is observed.
- Pole attachment feels loose: Verify that all locking mechanisms on the extension pole are securely tightened.
