2. Setup and First Use

2.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the Roti & Crepe Maker from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, stickers, and labels. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.

2.2 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, wipe the non-stick cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly. It is recommended to lightly oil the plates with a small amount of cooking oil during the first use to condition the non-stick surface.

2.3 Placement

Place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from walls and other heat-sensitive objects. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for proper ventilation.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Preheating

  1. Plug the appliance into a 120V AC electrical outlet. The 'POWER' indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Turn the temperature control dial to your desired setting (MIN, MID, or MAX).
  3. Allow the appliance to preheat. The 'READY' indicator light will illuminate when the desired temperature is reached, indicating the unit is ready for use. This typically takes 3-5 minutes.

3.2 Making Roti or Tortillas

  1. Once the 'READY' light is on, open the lid using the cool-touch handle.
  2. Place a small ball of dough (approximately 1.5 to 2 inches in diameter) onto the center of the bottom cooking plate.
  3. Gently close the lid and press down on the handle for a few seconds to flatten the dough. The U-shaped sunken plate helps keep the roti in place.
  4. Release the handle and allow the roti to cook. The 'READY' light may cycle on and off as the thermostat maintains the temperature.
  5. Cook for approximately 30-60 seconds per side, or until golden brown and cooked to your preference. Use a non-metallic spatula to flip the roti if desired, or to remove it.
  6. Remove the cooked roti and place it in a warm container. Repeat the process for additional rotis.
