5. Setup
5.1 Connecting the Scanner
- Ensure your computer is powered on.
- Connect the USB cable to the scanner's USB port.
- Plug the other end of the USB cable into an available USB port on your computer.
- The operating system (Windows) will typically detect and install the necessary drivers automatically. Wait for the installation to complete.
- Once installed, the scanner is ready for use.

6. Operating Instructions
The MDK104 scanner is designed for ease of use. Simply place the barcode within the scanning area.
6.1 Scanning Barcodes
- Ensure the scanner is connected to your computer and recognized.
- Open an application where you want the scanned data to appear (e.g., a text editor, POS software, spreadsheet).
- Position the barcode in front of the scanner's window. The scanner uses omnidirectional laser technology, allowing for scanning from various angles without precise alignment.
- The scanner will emit a light and a beep (if enabled) upon successful reading. The data will then appear in your active application.

7. Maintenance
