  6. Adjust chain tension using the tensioning screw. The chain should be snug but still able to be pulled freely by hand.
  7. Fully tighten the chain cover nuts.

Warning: Never operate the pruner without chain oil, as this will cause rapid wear to the chain and guide bar.
