Assembly Instructions

The building sets are designed for a rewarding experience, suitable for ages 8 and up. Younger builders may benefit from adult assistance due to the complexity and number of pieces. Each tank model comes with its own dedicated instruction manual and pieces sorted into numbered bags to facilitate the building process.

  1. Unpack and Organize: Carefully open the packaging and sort the numbered bags according to the instruction manuals for the German Tiger I and US M26 Pershing tanks.
  2. Follow Step-by-Step Manuals: Refer to the included instruction manuals for detailed, step-by-step assembly. Each step illustrates the required pieces and their placement.
  3. Piece Identification: Some small or oddly shaped pieces may be challenging to identify. If an illustration is unclear, check the subsequent steps where previously placed pieces are shown in a colorless outline, making new additions stand out. Note that black pieces are depicted with white edges in the illustrations, while dark green pieces (especially for the Pershing model) may appear very dark; look for the absence of white edges to distinguish them from black.
  4. Tread Assembly (Important Note): The instructions suggest using 58 links for each side of the tank tracks. However, some builders have found that 57 links provide a more optimal fit, preventing the tracks from being too loose or too tight for display. Adjust as needed for best results.

Operating Instructions

Once assembled, your tank models offer interactive features for enhanced play and display.

  • LED Combat Lights: To activate the powerful LED combat lights, locate and press the designated button on the tank's turret. The lights will illuminate, adding realism to your model.
  • 360° Turret Rotation: The tank turrets are designed with a gear mechanism for smooth, full 360-degree rotation. Gently rotate the rear gear to maneuver the turret into your desired position.
  • Rolling Treads: The models feature functional rolling treads, allowing for movement across surfaces.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and appearance of your tank models, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Dust the models regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For more stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but avoid excessive moisture.
  • Storage: Store the models in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration or warping of the plastic pieces.
  • Battery Replacement: The light-up feature is powered by 2 nonstandard batteries. If the lights dim or stop working, the batteries may need replacement. Access the battery compartment as indicated in the assembly manual.
