1. Product Overview

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation and operation of your CGOGC car multimedia player, designed for Toyota Prius models from 2010 to 2015. This unit integrates advanced features such as wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, a high-resolution touchscreen, GPS navigation, and enhanced audio processing.

2. Installation Guide

Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified professional. Ensure the vehicle's power is off before beginning installation.

2.1 Unboxing and Component Check

Verify all components are present according to the product accessory list. The package typically includes the main head unit, power cable, adapter cable, RCA cable, dual USB cables, camera, camera input cable, GPS antenna, microphone, and installation tools.

2.2 Removing the Original Radio Player

Carefully use a trim removal tool to pry out the original car radio player from the dashboard. Disconnect all existing wiring harnesses from the back of the original unit.

2.3 Wiring Connections

Connect the provided wiring harnesses to the corresponding sockets on the back of the new head unit. Ensure all connections are secure. This includes the main power harness, RCA cables, USB cables, GPS antenna, radio antenna, and external microphone.

Important Connections:

• Power Cable: Connect the main power harness to the vehicle's power supply.
• GPS Antenna: Connect the GPS antenna and position it in a location with a clear view of the sky for optimal signal reception.
• Radio Antenna: Connect the radio antenna. An adapter may be required for some vehicle models.
• USB Cables: Connect the dual USB cables for media playback and smartphone connectivity.
• External Microphone: Connect the external microphone for improved call quality.
• Backup Camera: If installing a backup camera, connect its video input and power cables to the designated ports. Ensure the reversing image detection cable is correctly wired to the vehicle's reverse light signal.
• CANBUS Box: Connect the CANBUS box if your vehicle requires it for steering wheel controls or other integrated functions.

2.4 Installing the Head Unit

Once all connections are made, carefully slide the new head unit into the center console opening. Ensure all wires are tucked away neatly to avoid pinching. Secure the unit in place.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off and Basic Navigation

Press the power button to turn the unit on or off. The main interface provides access to various functions such as Navigation, Radio, Video, Music, Bluetooth, and Apps. Swipe left or right to browse through available applications.

3.2 Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto

This unit supports both wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. To connect:

1. Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your smartphone.
2. On the head unit, navigate to the CarPlay or Android Auto application.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair your phone via Bluetooth. Once paired, the system will automatically establish a Wi-Fi connection for wireless functionality.
4. For wired connection, connect your phone using a USB cable.

CarPlay and Android Auto allow you to access phone functions like music, GPS navigation, calls, notifications, and messages directly from the car stereo, ensuring safe driving.

3.3 Audio Settings (DSP)

The Digital Signal Processing (DSP) feature allows for extensive audio customization:

• Equalizer: Adjust the 30-band EQ settings to fine-tune the sound frequencies. Presets like Flat, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classic, and User are available.
• Loudness: Adjust low/high frequency and gain, and Smart Bass settings.
• Filter: Modify the highest and lowest possible frequencies for front and rear speakers (HPF/LPF).
• Balance: Adjust the sound field balance to optimize audio for different seating positions.
• Sound Delay: Set individual speaker delays based on their distance from the listener.

3.4 Navigation

The unit supports GPS navigation and allows installation of various map applications. Access the Navigation app from the main menu and input your destination. The system supports both online and offline maps.

3.5 Radio (FM/AM/RDS)

Select the Radio application to access FM and AM bands. The unit features an ST-TDA7708 radio chip for clear reception and supports RDS (Radio Data System) functions.

• Use the arrow buttons to tune frequencies or perform an automatic scan for available stations.
• Save your favorite stations for quick access.

3.6 Media Playback (Music & Video)

The unit supports various audio and video formats. Connect USB drives or use Bluetooth for music streaming. The 1080p video player supports split-screen display, allowing you to watch videos while using other functions like navigation.

3.7 Backup Camera

When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the system automatically displays the rear view from the connected HD backup camera. Dynamic guidelines assist with parking maneuvers.

3.8 Steering Wheel Controls (SWC)

The unit supports the vehicle's original steering wheel controls, allowing you to manage audio, calls, and other functions without taking your hands off the wheel. Configuration may be required in the system settings.

If you encounter issues with your CGOGC car multimedia player, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

• No Power: Check all power connections. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is on. Verify fuses.
• No Sound: Check speaker wiring connections. Ensure volume is not muted or set to zero. Verify audio settings (DSP).
• Poor Radio Reception: Check the radio antenna connection. Ensure the antenna is properly installed and not obstructed.
• GPS Signal Issues: Ensure the GPS antenna is installed in a location with a clear view of the sky. Verify the GPS application settings.
• Bluetooth/CarPlay/Android Auto Connection Problems: Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your phone and the head unit. Try restarting both devices. Forget and re-pair the device.
• Steering Wheel Controls Not Working: Check CANBUS box connection if applicable. Access the system settings to configure or recalibrate the steering wheel controls.
• Screen Unresponsive: Try restarting the unit. If the issue persists, a factory reset might be necessary (refer to system settings).
