5.1 Placement

The Monster SB100 Soundbar can be placed on a flat surface in front of your TV or wall-mounted.

  • Tabletop Placement: Place the soundbar on a stable, flat surface directly in front of your TV. Ensure it does not block the TV's remote sensor.
  • Wall Mounting: Use the included wall mount template and hardware to securely mount the soundbar below your TV. Refer to the Quick Start Guide for detailed wall mounting instructions.

5.2 Connecting to Your TV

Choose one of the following connection methods based on your TV's available ports:

  • HDMI ARC (Recommended): Connect an HDMI cable (not included) from the soundbar's HDMI (ARC) port to your TV's HDMI (ARC) port. This allows your TV remote to control the soundbar's volume.
  • Optical: Connect the included optical cable from the soundbar's OPT port to your TV's optical digital audio output.
  • Coaxial: Connect a coaxial cable (not included) from the soundbar's COAX port to your TV's coaxial digital audio output.
  • AUX: Connect the included audio line (RCA to 3.5mm) from the soundbar's AUX L/R ports to your TV's analog audio output (usually red and white RCA jacks).

5.3 Powering On

  1. Connect the power adapter to the soundbar's DC IN port and then plug it into a wall outlet.
  2. Press the Power button on the soundbar or the remote control to turn on the unit. The LED display will illuminate.

You can control the soundbar using the buttons on the top panel or the included remote control.

The soundbar features three DSP (Digital Signal Processing) equalization modes to optimize audio for different content types:

  • Movie Mode: Enhances cinematic sound effects and dialogue for an immersive movie experience.
  • Music Mode: Optimizes audio for music playback, providing rich bass and clear vocals.
  • News Mode: Focuses on vocal clarity, making dialogue easier to understand during news broadcasts or talk shows.

Press the EQ button on the remote control to cycle through these modes.

6.3 Bluetooth Pairing

To connect your mobile device or computer via Bluetooth:

  1. Press the Input/Mode button on the soundbar or the remote control until "BT" appears on the LED display. The soundbar will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing "BT".
  2. On your device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Monster SB100" from the list of devices.
  4. Once connected, the "BT" indicator on the soundbar will stop flashing and remain solid.
