VEVOR Kayak Cart Instruction Manual

Model: Kayak Cart

1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe assembly, operation, and maintenance of your VEVOR Kayak Cart. This all-terrain trolley is designed to transport kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards with ease, featuring 15-inch no-flat solid rubber tires and a robust carbon steel frame. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use to ensure proper handling and longevity of your product.

2. Safety Information

  • Always ensure the kayak cart is assembled correctly before use.
  • Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 330 lbs (150 kg). Overloading can cause damage to the cart and potential injury.
  • Secure your watercraft firmly to the cart using the provided tensioning straps to prevent shifting during transport.
  • Exercise caution when transporting on uneven or sloped terrain.
  • Keep hands and fingers clear of moving parts during assembly and operation.
  • Store the cart in a safe place away from children when not in use.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present before assembly:

  • 1 x Kayak Cart Frame
  • 2 x 15-inch No-Flat Solid Rubber Tires
  • 2 x Tensioning Straps (2m / 6.6 ft)
  • 2 x Tensioning Straps (0.8m / 2.6 ft)
  • 1 x User Manual

4. Setup and Assembly

The VEVOR Kayak Cart is designed for quick and easy assembly. Follow these steps:

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out on a clean, flat surface.
  2. Attach Wheels: Insert the axle of each 15-inch solid rubber tire into the designated slots on the cart frame. Ensure the locking pins or mechanisms are securely engaged to prevent the wheels from detaching during use.
  3. Verify Stability: Once both wheels are attached, gently test the cart's stability. The kickstand should be able to support the cart in an upright position.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Position the Cart: Place the assembled kayak cart on a stable, level surface. Extend the kickstand to keep the cart upright.
  2. Adjust Support Bracket: The cart features a 5-position adjustable support bracket (widths: 20.0/18.9/13.0/12.4/8.5 inches) to accommodate various watercraft sizes. Adjust the width to match your kayak, canoe, or paddleboard for optimal support.
  3. Load Watercraft: Carefully lift and place your watercraft onto the padded support arms of the cart. Ensure it is centered and balanced.
  4. Secure with Straps: Use the provided tensioning straps (two 2m straps and two 0.8m straps) to firmly secure the watercraft to the cart frame. Thread the straps through the designated anchor points and tighten them to prevent any movement during transport.

  1. Transport: Once the watercraft is securely loaded, you can begin transporting it. The 15-inch no-flat solid rubber tires are designed to glide smoothly over various terrains, including sand, gravel, and grass.
  2. Unload: Upon reaching your destination, extend the kickstand, unfasten the tensioning straps, and carefully remove your watercraft from the cart.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, especially in saltwater or sandy environments, rinse the cart with fresh water to remove any dirt, sand, or salt residue. This helps prevent corrosion and extends the product's lifespan.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect all components, including the frame, wheels, and straps, for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections. Replace any damaged parts immediately.
  • Storage: The VEVOR Kayak Cart features a lightweight, detachable, and foldable design for easy storage. After cleaning, fold the cart and store it in a dry place, such as your SUV trunk or boat storage area, when not in use.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your VEVOR Kayak Cart, consider the following:

  • Cart Instability: Ensure all wheel connections are secure and the kickstand is fully extended. Verify that the watercraft is centered and evenly balanced on the support arms.
  • Difficulty Moving: Check if the watercraft is overloaded beyond the 330 lbs capacity. Ensure the path is clear of large obstructions. The no-flat tires are designed for various terrains, but extremely soft sand or very rough terrain may require more effort.
  • Watercraft Shifting: Re-tighten all tensioning straps. Ensure they are threaded through appropriate anchor points on both the watercraft and the cart frame to prevent slippage.
