3. What's in the Box

Please verify that all components are present before beginning installation:

  • 1 x FeeTUO Hard Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover
  • Hardware Kit (Clamps, bolts, etc.)
  • 1 x 118-inch Waterproof Strip
  • 1 x LED Light

4. Setup and Installation

Installation typically takes 10 to 15 minutes with basic tools and requires no drilling. Follow these steps for a secure fit:

  1. Prepare the Truck Bed: Ensure the truck bed rails are clean and free of debris. If your truck has a bed liner, ensure it does not interfere with the tonneau cover's sealing surface.
  2. Position the Cover: Place the folded tonneau cover onto the front of the truck bed, near the cab. Ensure it is centered and aligned with the bed rails. The front panel should rest flush against the bulkhead.
  3. Secure Front Clamps: Unfold the front section of the cover slightly to access the front clamps. Attach the front clamps to the truck bed rails, ensuring they are securely tightened. Do not overtighten.
  4. Unfold and Align: Carefully unfold the middle and rear sections of the tonneau cover towards the tailgate. Ensure the cover remains centered and aligned with the bed rails.
  5. Secure Rear Clamps: Once the cover is fully extended, attach the rear clamps to the truck bed rails. These clamps feature a quick-release mechanism for easy access. Ensure they are firmly engaged.
  6. Install Waterproof Strip: Apply the provided 118-inch waterproof strip along any gaps, particularly between the tailgate and RamBox/bed wall, to enhance water resistance.
  7. Install LED Light: Place the LED light in a desired dim area of the truck bed for improved visibility.
  8. Final Check: Verify that all clamps are secure and the cover is properly seated and sealed around the perimeter of the truck bed.

5. Operating Instructions

The FeeTUO Hard Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover features a quick-release clamping system for easy operation:

  1. To Open (Fold):
    • Release the rear clamps located on both sides of the tailgate end of the cover.
    • Fold the rear panel forward onto the middle panel.
    • Release the middle clamps and fold the combined panels forward towards the cab.
    • Secure the folded cover using the integrated straps or buckles near the cab to prevent it from unfolding during transit. This allows for access to the majority of the truck bed for larger cargo.
  2. To Close (Unfold):
    • Release the securing straps near the cab.
    • Carefully unfold the panels one by one towards the tailgate.
    • Ensure each panel lays flat and is properly aligned before securing.
    • Engage and tighten all clamps (middle and rear) to secure the cover to the truck bed rails.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will prolong the life and appearance of your tonneau cover:

  • Cleaning: Wash the cover regularly with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Seals: Periodically inspect the weather seals around the perimeter of the cover and between the panels for any signs of wear or damage. Replace if necessary to maintain water resistance.
  • Clamps and Hardware: Check all clamps and hardware periodically to ensure they remain tight and secure. Tighten any loose components.
  • UV Protection: While the cover has a UV protective coating, applying a UV protectant designed for automotive plastics and vinyl can further extend its lifespan and prevent fading.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Water Leakage:
    • Ensure all clamps are securely tightened.
    • Check the alignment of the cover on the bed rails.
    • Inspect the weather seals for proper seating and any damage. Re-apply or add the waterproof strip as needed, especially in areas like the tailgate gap.
  • Difficulty Folding/Unfolding:
    • Ensure no debris is obstructing the hinges or the bed rails.
    • Verify that the clamps are fully released before attempting to fold.
  • Cover Not Lying Flat:
    • Check for proper alignment on the bed rails.
    • Ensure the front panel is flush against the bulkhead.
