Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for secure installation of your tectake i-Size Car Seat:

  1. Prepare the Vehicle: Ensure your vehicle has ISOFIX anchor points and a Top Tether attachment point. Locate these points in your car.
  2. Extend ISOFIX Connectors: Press the release buttons on the car seat to extend the ISOFIX connectors.
  3. Attach ISOFIX: Align the ISOFIX connectors with the vehicle's ISOFIX anchor points. Push firmly until you hear an audible "click" and the indicators turn green (if present). Pull on the seat to ensure it is securely attached.
  4. Connect Top Tether: Route the Top Tether strap over the back of the vehicle seat and attach the hook to the designated Top Tether anchor point in your vehicle. Pull the strap to tighten it, removing any slack, until the indicator turns green (if present).
  5. Check Stability: Once installed, firmly push and pull the car seat to ensure it is stable and does not move excessively.
  6. Adjust for Child: For younger children (40-105 cm), ensure the seat is in the rear-facing position (if applicable for your model's rotation feature) and use the 5-point harness. For older children (100-150 cm), the 5-point harness may be removed, and the child secured with the vehicle's 3-point seat belt. Adjust the headrest to the correct height.

Operating Instructions

Securing Your Child with the 5-Point Harness (40-105 cm)

  1. Place Child: Open the harness buckle and place your child in the car seat.
  2. Fasten Harness: Bring the two buckle tongues together and insert them into the buckle until you hear a "click".
  3. Tighten Harness: Pull the adjustment strap at the front of the seat to tighten the harness until it is snug against your child's body. Ensure you can only fit one finger between the harness and your child's collarbone.
  4. Loosen Harness: Press the harness release button (usually located near the adjustment strap) and pull the shoulder straps outwards to loosen.

Adjusting the Headrest

The headrest can be adjusted to multiple positions to accommodate your child's height. Locate the headrest adjustment lever (usually at the top or back of the headrest). Squeeze the lever and slide the headrest up or down until it is at the correct height, ensuring the shoulder straps are at or just below your child's shoulders when rear-facing, or at or just above when forward-facing.

Press or pull the lever and rotate the seat to the desired position (e.g., facing the car door for easy access, or switching between rear-facing and forward-facing). Ensure the seat locks securely into place after rotation.
