2. Safety Information

• Always place the humidifier on a firm, flat, waterproof surface at least 6 inches (15 cm) away from walls and appliances.
• Do not immerse the humidifier in water or other liquids.
• Use only distilled or purified water to prevent mineral buildup and white dust. Avoid tap water, well water, or other water with high mineral content.
• Do not add essential oils directly into the water tank or mist tube. Use only the designated aroma box.
• Unplug the humidifier before cleaning, filling, or moving it.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Do not block the mist outlet or air intake vents.
• If the unit produces unusual sounds, smells, or smoke, unplug it immediately and contact customer support.

3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Provirtec MistGrove Humidifier HC-02:

1. Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the humidifier for any damage. Ensure all components are present: main unit, mist tube, power ring, remote control, cleaning brush, and user manual.
2. Check Mist Tube: Ensure the mist tube is properly secured within the main unit.
3. Install Power Ring: The power ring must be placed into the mist tube with the side marked "THIS SIDE UP" facing upwards. This improves mist output efficiency. If not installed correctly, mist may be greatly reduced or absent.
4. Fill Water Tank: Remove the top cover. Fill the water tank with distilled or purified water. Ensure the water level is higher than the MIN line and lower than the MAX line. Do not add water through the mist tube.
5. Add Essential Oils (Optional): If desired, gently press to remove the aroma box located at the back of the unit. Add a few drops of essential oil onto the pad inside the aroma box. Reinsert the aroma box.
6. Place and Connect: Place the humidifier on a stable, flat surface. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

Your humidifier can be operated using the touch panel on the unit or the included remote control.

Touch Panel Controls:

• ON/OFF: Press to turn the humidifier on or off.
• LEVEL: Press to turn Manual Mode on. Press again to cycle through mist levels 1-5.
• AUTO: Press to turn Auto Mode on. The humidifier will automatically maintain the ideal humidity level (40%-60% RH). Press again to cycle through target humidity levels (40%-60%).
• SLEEP: Press to turn Sleep Mode on. This turns off all lights and operates at a near-silent level. Press again to cycle through sleep levels 1-3.
• WARM: Press to turn the warm mist function on/off. Warm mist reaches approximately 95°F in about 30 minutes (at room temperature 77°F).
• TIMER: Press to set a timer (0-12 hours) for automatic shut-off.

Remote Control:

The remote control offers all the same functions as the touch panel for convenient operation from a distance. Aim the remote at the control panel for best results.

Mist Direction:

The humidifier features 360° dual mist outlets. Freely rotate and adjust the outlets to direct the mist in any desired direction for even coverage.

5. Maintenance

Regular cleaning is crucial for optimal performance and hygiene. The Provirtec MistGrove Humidifier features a seamless one-piece tank design for easy cleaning.

1. Daily Maintenance: Empty and rinse the water tank daily.
2. Weekly Cleaning: Unplug the unit. Remove the top cover and the mist tube. Use the provided cleaning brush and a soft cloth to wipe down the interior of the water tank and the mist tube. The wide opening and lack of hard-to-reach corners make cleaning quick and easy. Rinse thoroughly.
3. Descaling: If mineral deposits accumulate, fill the tank with a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water. Let it soak for 30 minutes, then scrub with the cleaning brush. Rinse thoroughly until the vinegar smell is gone.
4. Aroma Box Cleaning: Clean the aroma box and replace the essential oil pad as needed.

6. Troubleshooting

• Humidifier is noisy: This humidifier is designed to operate quietly. You may hear a soft 'white noise' from the ultrasonic atomization, as well as a gentle humming sound from the heating in warm mist mode. Both sounds indicate that the unit is functioning correctly. For best quiet operation, place it on a flat, hard surface and keep the water level between MAX and MIN.
• White dust around the unit: This is typically caused by hard water. We strongly recommend using distilled or purified water to avoid white dust issues and mineral buildup inside the device.
• Humidity fluctuation near the unit: Slight humidity fluctuation near the unit may occur due to running or heat dissipation. This is completely normal. The mist is released from one point and needs time to circulate and spread throughout the room. For more even humidity, place your humidifier on a flat surface in a central location.
• Warm mist not reaching 95°F quickly: The mist heating speed is affected by ambient temperature. At room temperature of 77°F, it takes about 30 minutes for the mist to approximately 95°F. It is recommended to close doors and windows when using the warm mist function.
