4. Assembly and Setup

4.1 Handle Assembly

1. Unfold the handle into the operating position.
2. Secure the handle using the provided knobs and bolts. Ensure all connections are tight.

4.2 Battery Installation

1. Ensure the batteries are fully charged before first use.
2. Open the battery compartment cover on the top of the mower.
3. Insert both 20V batteries into their respective slots until they click into place.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.3 Grass Catcher Attachment

1. Lift the rear discharge flap.
2. Hook the grass catcher onto the mower's frame. Ensure it is securely seated to prevent grass clippings from escaping.

4.4 Height Adjustment

The mower features 4-position height adjustment for varying grass lengths.

1. Locate the height adjustment lever on the side of the mower.
2. Pull the lever outwards and move it to the desired cutting height position (1.2 inches to 1.5 inches).
3. Release the lever to lock it into place. Ensure all wheels are at the same height setting.

5. Operation

5.1 Starting the Mower

The MZK lawn mower features a two-step activation process for safety:

1. Insert the safety key into the designated slot.
2. Press and hold the safety button, then pull the bail lever towards the handle. The motor will start.
3. Release the safety button once the motor is running. The mower will continue to operate as long as the bail lever is held.

To stop the mower, release the bail lever.

5.2 Mowing Techniques

• For best results, mow dry grass.
• Overlap cutting swaths slightly to ensure an even cut.
• Avoid overloading the motor by cutting excessively long or thick grass in a single pass. Adjust cutting height or make multiple passes if necessary.
• The 13-inch cutting width allows for efficient coverage of small to medium-sized yards.

5.3 Battery Runtime

The two 4.0Ah batteries provide extended runtime. Actual runtime may vary depending on grass conditions, cutting height, and operator technique.
