  1. Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging.
  2. Place the unit upright on a firm, level surface in the desired location.
  3. Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around the unit for proper air circulation.
  4. For optimal performance, close all doors and windows in the room where the dehumidifier is operating.

3.2 Power Connection

Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The unit will enter standby mode.

3.3 Drainage Options

The DGUAM V1 offers two methods for water removal:

3.3.1 Manual Drainage (Water Tank)

The unit collects water in its internal 1.72-gallon water tank. When the tank is full, the dehumidifier will automatically shut off and alert you. The tank features a handle for easy removal and pouring.

3.3.2 Continuous Drainage (Drain Hose)

For uninterrupted operation, you can connect the included 1-meter drain hose for continuous drainage. This is ideal for basements or areas where manual emptying is inconvenient.

  1. Locate the continuous drain outlet on the back of the unit.
  2. Remove the rubber stopper from the drain outlet.
  3. Connect one end of the drain hose to the outlet, ensuring a secure fit.
  4. Direct the other end of the hose to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, large bucket, sink). Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow water to flow freely by gravity.
