Image: The Mainstays Single-Serve Blender showing its key components: the 16 oz (0.5 L) dishwasher-safe travel cup, stainless steel blades, the motor base with its power button, skid-resistant feet, and the travel cup lid.
- Motor Base: Contains the 220-watt motor and the "POWER + PULSE" button for operation. Features skid-resistant feet for stability.
- Blending Cup (16 oz / 473 ml): BPA-free AS plastic cup that serves as both the blending jar and a portable drinking vessel.
- Blade Assembly: Features durable 301 stainless-steel blades for efficient blending. This screws onto the blending cup.
- Travel Lid: A PP plastic lid designed to fit the blending cup, allowing for spill-resistant portability.
Setup
Before first use, wash all parts that will come into contact with food (blending cup, blade assembly, travel lid) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Place the motor base on a clean, dry, and stable surface.
- Ensure the motor base is unplugged from the power outlet.
Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to blend your ingredients:
- Prepare Ingredients: Add your desired ingredients to the blending cup. For best results, add liquids first, then soft ingredients, and finally harder ingredients or ice. Do not overfill past the MAX fill line.
- Attach Blade Assembly: Screw the blade assembly firmly onto the open end of the blending cup until it is tightly sealed.
- Place on Base: Invert the blending cup so the blade assembly is facing down, and place it onto the motor base. Align the tabs on the cup with the slots on the base and twist clockwise until it locks into place.
- Blend: Plug the blender into a standard 120V AC outlet. Press and hold the "POWER + PULSE" button to begin blending. Release the button to stop. For optimal blending and to prevent motor overheating, use short pulses rather than continuous operation. Do not operate for more than 60 seconds continuously.
- Serve: Once blending is complete, twist the blending cup counter-clockwise to unlock it from the motor base. Carefully remove the blade assembly by unscrewing it from the cup.
- Travel: Attach the travel lid to the blending cup for on-the-go consumption. Ensure the lid is securely fastened to prevent spills.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your blender.
- Motor Base: Unplug the motor base before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
- Blending Cup and Travel Lid: These parts are dishwasher safe (top rack recommended). Alternatively, wash them by hand with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry.
- Blade Assembly: Carefully rinse the blade assembly under running water immediately after use. Use a brush to remove any food residue. Exercise extreme caution when handling the sharp blades. The blade assembly is also dishwasher safe.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your blender, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Blender does not turn on. | Not plugged in; cup not properly seated; motor overheated. | Ensure the blender is securely plugged into a working outlet. Make sure the blending cup is locked onto the motor base. Unplug and let the motor cool down for 15-20 minutes before attempting to use again. |
| Ingredients are not blending smoothly. | Too little liquid; too many ingredients; ingredients are too large or hard. | Add more liquid. Reduce the amount of ingredients. Cut larger ingredients into smaller pieces. Use the pulse function to break down stubborn ingredients. |
| Leakage from the blending cup. | Blade assembly not tightened; cup overfilled. | Ensure the blade assembly is securely tightened onto the blending cup. Do not fill ingredients past the MAX fill line. |
