Setup

Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Connecting the Controller

1. Power Connection: Connect the provided AC adapter to the DC IN 12V port on the rear panel and then to a power outlet.
2. USB Connection: Connect the DDJ-FLX10 to your computer (PC or Mac) using the supplied USB cable. Use either the USB A or USB B port.
3. Audio Output: Connect your speakers or sound system to the MASTER OUT (XLR or RCA) or BOOTH OUT (TRS) ports on the rear panel.
4. Microphone Input: If using a microphone, connect it to the MIC 1 or MIC 2 input.
5. Headphones: Connect your headphones to the PHONES output on the front panel.

Track Separation (STEMS Technology)

The DDJ-FLX10 features innovative Track Separation technology, allowing you to isolate and manipulate the vocal, drum, and instrumental parts of any track in real-time. This enables creative mash-ups and unique performance styles.

• Vocal: Isolates or mutes the vocal track.
• Drums: Isolates or mutes the drum track.
• Inst (Instruments): Isolates or mutes other instrumental parts, including bass and synths.

Beat FX

Apply various Beat FX to your tracks to add dynamic flair to your mixes. The DDJ-FLX10 offers a range of effects that can be applied to individual channels or the master output.

Mix Point Link (rekordbox only)

This feature allows you to automatically match cue points between tracks in rekordbox, streamlining your mixing process and ensuring seamless transitions.

Jog Ring Display Modes

The jog wheels feature customizable displays that provide essential track information or visual effects.

• Deck Info Mode: Displays BPM, key, and waveform information.
• Waveform Mode: Shows detailed track waveforms.
• Artwork Display: Shows album artwork.
• DJ Logo Display: Displays a custom DJ logo.

Channel Controls

Each of the four channels features dedicated controls for precise audio mixing:

• Trim: Adjusts the input gain for each channel.
• EQ (High, Mid, Low): Three-band equalizer to shape the frequency response of each track.
• Color FX: Apply instant sound color effects to individual channels.
• Channel Faders: Control the volume of each channel.

Crossfader

The MAGVEL FADER 4-sensor system provides precise and durable crossfader performance for smooth transitions between channels.

Master and Booth Level

Adjust the overall output volume of your mix using the Master Level knob. The Booth Level knob controls the volume for your monitor speakers, allowing you to set a comfortable listening level in the DJ booth.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Regularly wipe the surface of the controller with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Software Updates: Periodically check the Pioneer DJ website for firmware and software updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.

Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the AC adapter is securely connected to both the controller and a working power outlet.
• No Sound: Check all audio cable connections (USB, Master Out, Booth Out, headphones). Verify volume levels on the controller, software, and connected speakers. Ensure the correct audio output device is selected in your computer's sound settings and DJ software.
• Software Not Recognizing Controller: Confirm that the USB cable is properly connected. Restart both the controller and your computer. Check for and install any necessary drivers or software updates from the Pioneer DJ website.
